Snow in Mid-April has me seeking comfort via empty calories. . .

One of my favorites are those Orange Circus Peanuts I remember sneaking out of Grandma's kitchen cabinet back in the day.

Not the white, pink, or yellow ones. . . just the orange.

When I was older and able to see some of the world I sampled Australia's Violet Crumble. My favorite candy bar to this day -- just wish they were on the shelf at the local gas station!

    What is your weakness?

    Straight up?

Perhaps the chip or cookie version would be worth trying?

I've learned there are things I never knew existed but now have to try. Pizza Spins??

A couple more seasonal favorites -- Caramel Apple Milky Ways in the Fall

And White Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs in the Spring

    Quoted from o-din:

    Avocado toast with honey.

The Mrs. loves avocado toast but I think she usually has it with onions or some other potent smelling ingredient. She heads to work before I do and the smell wakes me up in the morning when she makes it.

I think I'd really enjoy your way o-din, I'll give it a try.

Used to like the "PBMax" -- have not seen (or thought of ) them for a couple decades.

    Quoted from pinsanity:

tractordoc You can get genuine South Australian made Nestle Violet Crumble off the shelf at your local Cost Plus store.

Thanks for the tip -- Unfortunately I don't think there are any Cost Plus stores near me (had honestly not heard of that chain before). I'll keep a lookout -- one of the advantages of the world wide web is I can order candy from across the globe, shipping costs can get kind of steep though.

Not sure how junk foody it is but lately I've grown fond of the Salt and Pepper Pistachios.

If I don't ration myself I can shell thru an entire bag in one sitting (bag says 3.5 servings per container, but who is counting?)

What can I say O-Din, you are an inspiration.

Does not look as nice as yours, but tasty just the same. The honey and eggs are from here on the farm. . . have not tried growing our own avocados or baking our own bread yet.

    Another local favorite.

Every now and again they mix up a batch of blueberry but just cinnamon/sugar today. Already half gone!

Looks like "Cheez Balls" are making a comeback:

    https://fox8.com/2018/06/27/after-12-years-planters-cheez-balls-and-cheez-curls-are-coming-back/

I remember eating these out of the can as a kid. Being honest, I never noticed they were gone but that is probably because of all the aftermarket cheese balls out there. That and I stopped eating cheese in a spray or ball form a long time ago. . .
