This thing has been sitting in a shed for over 20 years , the gears are rusted together the parts don't move. the cabinet is shot ...Its not worth restoring because of the man hours involved and it would probably never be reliable so ......is there anything worth keeping before it goes to the junkyard?

What you have here is a rare opportunity to add a previously undocumented game to the ipdb.org database! This title is not in their list!

They'll want pictures, and other info such as manufacturer.

I guess you'll have to contact them first, submitting stuff only works for games already in the list...

playfield would make a coffee table, BG could be shadow boxed.

That's about what I was thinking other then saving some of the switch contacts that are salvageable
Submitted pictures to ipdb.org to see if they had any interest
just didn't know if any of the rivet plates or wiper arms would be of any interest to any EM Bingo guys

Before you junk it or part it out consider offering it to someone new to the hobby who wants to learn. There's plenty of opportunity there to learn and practice repair and restoration techniques without the fear of trashing a better game. The steppers alone would be a good lesson in disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and adjustment. I wouldn't be surprised if it could be brought back. It might give someone a pretty good sense of accomplishment.

This machine was covered in another thread the other day - it's a bingo with an aftermarket replacement backglass. Nothing new.

First of all thanks for recommending this

but an interesting twist , the ipbd is interested in the back glass and I have agreed to send them photo's so that they can document it as a modification done to the shoot a line machine. Back in the day shoot a line was on the list to be confiscated if found in a place of business. Doing further research on where this came from, places it in a Bar in Lewistown, PA. More then likely people played it for credits and then would cash out the credits with the bartender. Hence the reason the back glass was probably changed....it was probably a good money maker due to the fact that it had 28 spots and the number 28 is only on one card.
nothing special about the machine but the back glass may be a one of a kind survivor

It's a re-named Bally "Shoot A Line". Those two bolts in the head look saveable.
