Has anyone seen this wiring hack before? I recently picked up an Addams Family, and noticed this hack on the transformer. The game appears to work just fine, but I'm wondering why this was done in the first place. Does this have anything to do with power conversion from 220 to 110?

Is there any reason why I shouldn't restore it to its original configuration?

Without looking at a schematic wiring diagram (which is an extremely important thing to do), this does look like a hack to convert the transformer input/primary connections to suit the supply voltage.

Done by someone without a molex pin extraction tool, in a hurry or just not familiar with pinball, but had the ability to read a wiring diagram.

I'd restore the connections and convert the molex plug wiring if it was me.

I would concur. Looks like a reimport and they just hacked it back. My baywatch was similar. I found the schematics and the correct Molex and remade the correct plug connection.
