While cleaning and re-assembly of the drop targets on my Williams Pitch and Bat -
I noticed a metal piece hanging down from the back of the targets behind the shield
that deflects the balls. There are no wires (that I can see) that are anywhere near this.
not sure of what the purpose is, or am I missing something? It's just stapled to the wood.

thanks for any help in this

Hmm .. No one have any idea of what this is for?

Does it go through the board? Can you post some more pics?

You got me stumped. I checked all my williams pitch and bats along with extra target panels and none have that or a trace of it ever being there. A wild guess it could be a label mount that would have said ‘control panel ##’ or something like that although it would have been stapled directly to the panel and probably not shish kabobed on. Interesting

Or a key holder?

Is that solder on the end of the wire?

Yes. I believe it is.

Quoted from dc2010:

Under the target bank?

Yes under and behind the ball deflector shield. I was hoping someone with a line drive game
Could look at theirs and see if they have it also

I had a LINE DRIVE a few years back and I went thru the game cleaning, etc, along with paint. I can assure you whatever that alien creature is it was not present in mine.
Got no idea what you got there my friend. Good luck in your perusal.l
