Hello

Just needing your help to price this pin. Not sure how to value as the restore looks awesome. See pics and make an offer if you like. If I had not purchased the one from Jim G earlier in the year I would not sell it but I do not need two great ones.

This is the reason these are hard to price so please just try to give honest advice. I know it cost and often we do not get what we paid in repair and restoration so shot me some prices. See here for previous comments and this is not that machine as I still have that one and this is another I traded for.

Thanks
Buddy

Beautiful Getaway. If you post pics of the shooter lane and inlanes, it will help with pricing. Also, please PM me when you settle on a price, as I'd like to land a nice Getaway.

It does look nice. I really like the chrome trim, except that wierd apron. Dunno about your area, but here in Dallas, there have been HS2's available several times on CL the last few years in the 2000-2500 range, and they've ALL had faded to crap decals. I was pretty ecstatic when I got a good deal on mine... I can live with a crappy cabinet art, an acid damaged MPU, and a dirty-as-all-getout playfield to save 50%+

Here's one that's been up a while that's completely faded to white...asking 2100...

I think I saw a HEP HS2 go for 6k second or third owner but obviously condition will determine price. The pics don't give much to show how good the restore is.

A few more pictures.

Some more pictures some of these before I added the pinball side mirrors.

I need those Free play cards!

#8 10 years ago

Here the requested shooter lane pics and one of the diamond plate logo. In the last picture above you can see the light hit the black wall and it looks so much better against the new pinball side mirror. I did not take it to the auction. I see beater ones sell for 1700 to 2300 and I have sold some better condition ones for 2800. The blue flashers look good and thats why the top has the blue beacon to match the new blue lights.

I will copy you a set for all your help, its the least I could do. Finally gave up on TF:LE today as I have my TF:LE DEC number 008 of 125 at the Winston Salem auction. Gonna let it go for what ever, even with the mirrors and McKee Topper.

4k tops for a mint Getaway probably (HEP is a whole different beast)...I'd guess 3000-3500. I had a near mint one a few years back...fun game...outer loops...inner loops...repeat..hah..

It stlll has great flow and a nice aftermarket backglass plus it still sounds cool! I just cant see this theme ever going out of style whereas others like JM or The Shadow not so much, even though I like the play of the shadow. I think over time the pin will increase in value due to its theme.

#13 10 years ago

I agree it's a fun game, I was able to score over a billion on the one I owned a few times I had the shots REALLY dialed in...sold it to a nice lady in town here, I still fix it for her once in awhile...

#14 10 years ago

I've seen this game in person, and it's super nice. Buddy's a jerk, though.

j/k Buddy! Best of luck to you… hoping to score a nice Getaway in the next few months as my next game.

#15 10 years ago

I have a HUO Getaway, but it does have some red fade on one side. Not bad though. I've had two people want to buy it, they both offered $2,800 FWIW. You never know though until someone puts their money where their mouth is.

#16 10 years ago

I love that game. I've had one for 3-4 years now, and it just keeps giving out fun times. I just had someone do repairs on it, and he put up a GC score of 1.4 Billion. It is a great game! This one looks beautiful.

#17 10 years ago

The pin was around 3400 new as it was not on closeout like some titles. Here is what I paid for WCS 94 on closeout and regular retail for Star Wars back in Dec 1992.

Cant get the documents to load. Anyway email and I can share them.

#19 10 years ago

This is one of the greatest games ever! This one is super nice to boot. had I not sent mine off to Jim I would be all over this.

#20 10 years ago

Looks great Buddy.

#21 10 years ago

This is a tough game to price. My guess is $3200 as that's what I would pay if I didn't have one already

#22 10 years ago

I have a very nice Getaway with minimal fade and I ballpark mine in the $2300-2600 range.

Yours?......maybe $3500 if you find the right buyer.

I am going to take this pin to Lousiville show and I have another apron so I am going to change it. I had the blue topper as the flasher lights are blue and the light color atleast matches but I have the original red cover too. This is a pin that is still fun and timeless. Hope Mustang will hold up like this modern classic.
I am going to ask 3900

#24 10 years ago

I'll trade you for a couple of pins I have here. I'm sure my buyer wont mind.

Haha, I am bringing my Getaway too since I have never seen one there before. Maybe I should select a different one?

I am NOT taking ACDC this year as I took one last year but somebody else is taking one this year. If you really wanted to take yours I could change to another pin.

I just wanted to take this one as to have something to possible sell.

#27 10 years ago

I might have something else to take, not sure yet as I have projects everywhere. Just do you do diligence to sell that bastard before.

I am trying to come see you as I want my Christmas present to myself. I have had some people interested in TF:LE but I want to make sure its really sold as I only have room for so much in that 2006 minivan and I only want to make one trip.

No no no, not you It was a general comment. I just couldn't do it. Too fun.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me, Buddy. If I had the space, I would put it next to my fully restored HS. They'd be quite a pair.

The players High Speed 2 pin has been sold.

Looks even better in person. Thanks again, Buddy!

#36 10 years ago

Cool! Glad you are enjoying it! My helper is just getting ready to hand Trent my check for Mustang and I was thinking, this is 700 more than the super nice The Getaway Highspeed 2. Its odd you just posted that as I was reading about Mustang as I already feel buyers remorse. I know it seems Getaway was highly priced but in comparision to the newer Stern Pro pins, I am not so sure. I think Getaway is a great pin in is current price point. I am lucky that I still have another CQ HEP I purchased for more money, the one I got from Jim in Ohio. I also sold another very nice one to TVBENK that was in fantastic original shape.

I am not crapping on Mustang yet as I have not played it but will have an unboxing event Sunday 2 to 5pm if anyone would like to drop by. Ryan (Blindvoyer) from Bristol is coming, if anyone else gets tired of all the basketnball games come on out and flip some new Stern and even Getaway.

#37 10 years ago

That would look even better with the coin door chromed out IMO. Still very nice pics.

#38 10 years ago

Hey buddy, where did you get the target decals?
