Making a top 10 list for the smoothest shooting flowiest pinball machines ever - vote here!!
AC/DC has a nice flow to the ramps and shots. The ball stops a bit for the cannon, pops and lower playfield but otherwise you're constantly working this one. I'll also second a well set up Demolition Man. That one has a great flow to it and the ramps are sweet but is a bitch to shop out when the time comes.
White water is up there with games with flow.
I think there’s a difference between metal and plastic ramps too. Plastic ramps feel smooth and buttery, where metal ramps feel sharp and unyielding. Even if a game has excellent flow, but has metal ramps, it won’t feel as glossy and buttery as a game with plastic ramps.
Stern Star Trek by a mile. It is the most geometrically perfect layout ever made.
Honorable mention to Spider-Man.
I like my theater as the best flow. I still suck at it. My only game.
Also though iron maiden has flow for miles. It makes it great in my opinion.
Demolition Man
At NWPAS a couple years ago I played with a lady who's home pub had one, and she talked about all the time they spent on it. She knew all the secret bonuses and could chain shots endlessly. I've never seen anything like it before or since. Other machines like Trek also flow well, but they don't have as wide variety of shots that flow back like Demo Man does or have more breaks interrupting flow.
Stern Star Trek, You can really keep the ball moving if you get your shots right. And you are a pinball wizard instead of a doctor!
Stern Star Trek is the king of flow. AC/DC and Spiderman felt pretty good too but not nearly as buttery smooth as Star Trek.
ToM for sure. Not only is the ball movement smooth as silk, it is poetry in motion.
Star Trek does flow really well, but nowhere near as beautifully.
On paper, No Fear should be up there but the way I play it tends to be a brickfest.
For flow, it's gotta be the boat ramps on Fish Tales.
No other game allows up to ten million + uninterrupted consecutive alternating flipper shots.

Serious question.....
Well I googled it and it seems to be a word. But it doesn't feel like it should be a word.

Pretty sure it is not a word - it gets a red squiggly line underneath it everywhere I type it.

Well neither was imamculate until a few months ago!
Tron. End of line.
Hold the left flipper up, plunge the ball to the top left flipper, up the side ramp to the lower left flipper, up through the pops in the right orbit to the upper left flipper, again up the side ramp to the lower left flipper, and slam it into the scoop! THAT is how you plunge on Tron, and that is how to start a game.
PS: It is so rare I can actually do that, but when I do, it wiggles.
People are forgetting about No Fear. No pops and almost everything returns back to the flipper. Plus the ramp shot you can looooooop.
Quoted from libtech:Maiden, star trek, and full throttle come to mind
Maiden? Sorry, but what?
I've very confused about the Whitewater mentions, or you all play it differently than me...
It's tons of start and stop.
I go shoot to the center, ball stops and is launched to upper play field. Hit the left ramp to light whirlpool award.
Shoot center, ball stops and is launched to upper play field, hit right ramp to collect whirlpool award.
Ball stops as it goes in subway to the scoop kick out.
Rinse and repeat...
Or perhaps it's a joke about flow and a water theme?
Definitely Johnny Mnemonic - it may not be the most loved pin, but the "flow" factor on it is off the charts.

So ST's warp ramp...
ANOTHER VOTE FOR ST!
Quoted from RTS:For flow, it's gotta be the boat ramps on Fish Tales.

Just off the top of my head I'd say T2?
Quoted from Cheddar:High speed when it has been set up as Steve Ritchie specified in him addendum to the manual
is this addendum in the manual or was it something separate?
For alternating loop flow, I've hit 4 left ramp - right ramp combos in a row on MMr. That feels pretty flowy.
