I bought about 45 EM/early SS games from an old man in Brooklyn, this is over 10 years ago. He was a long retired operator.

In hindsight we didn't even get the best deal. Probably paid on average $400 a game. Most were in very nice shape. None were parts machines. They all needed to be shopped out, all would be considered projects.

Fixed up dozens, sold, made a profit. It was a learning experience and a ton of work, likely nothing I'd be interested in doing again. He was a stubborn, stingy guy and had been trying to sell these forever. I'm convinced if we hadn't bought them he would have died owning these games in his brooklyn warehouse. Many others passed on dealing with this guy, I found out later.

The selection of games was good, lots of good titles, don't remember them all now but a number of KISS, captain fan, Meteor, Wizard, Space Invaders, Bobby Orr, C37, etc. A couple of the more beat up ones ended up as parts machines but most were fixed up and sold at a good profit. Learned a lot through the experience as well.
