Quoted from erak:Fireball Classic, no inlanes. And the spinner has a tendancy to throw the ball down either outlane or straight down the middle.

I had a Fireball Classic. Those three inch flippers make it a lot easier to keep the ball in play than the two inch zipper flippers on the original Fireball.
But still neither compares to Big Daddy with it's very fast play, two inch flippers, no inlanes and
three inch outlanes.
Quoted from pinball_erie:The 2 minute games on it push everyone away.
Two minutes on the above mentioned Big Daddy would be epic. But people love it.
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:I hear you brother. Most Pinsiders won't relate though as they probably, unfortunately, have never played an EM in good operating condition.
That's too bad. But that's why I keep throwing it out there every time I read things like brutal, tough, short ball times, etc.
And most of my modern games are some of the most brutal on the planet.
Quoted from swampfire:Any EM is cruel compared to what came after.
But why are they so addictive?
Quoted from swampfire:These pups never drove without power steering.
Remember. We had bigger steering wheels. lol!
Quoted from schwarz:Same games came up in both threads however.
poll: Which game is the hardest? Please take ball times, shots, scoring etc into consideration.
The Shadow : (29 votes)
Iron Man : (38 votes)

The Avengers : (12 votes)
EMs : (21 votes)
This is what cracks me up! EMs but no specific titles. lol. As you were.
If you start a thread like this in the all pinball category, the results will never make any real sense.
Quoted from goatdan:I have an EM for instance called 3 Coins. If you look it up, it has a GIANT GAP between the flippers, and you're lucky to hit the ball three times before draining. Difficult? Absolutely. Cruel? No.
That's the one I'm after! Is it for sale?
Quoted from AlexF:That's true. When my Dad was still around I had a Gottlieb Corral. I think it may be the only game of mine he ever tried. He didn't make flipper contact until ball four. Tough game.
Thank's for talking me out of buying that one.
Quoted from AlexF:Ha, I was pretty objective in my review I thought?
You were! And I would have picked it up anyway except my friend wanted it more. But with six outlanes and no inlanes that does keep the Corral playfield very low on wear. This one was perfect! Even if it was over 50 years old.
Quoted from albummydavis:In my mind, that's not cruel, that's a bad game.
In my mind that means you better make your plunger shot count, other wise you are going straight down the drain.
Ah, the lost art of easing back on the plunger so the ball can drop into the playfield at the perfect velocity and trajectory so the geometry of the game and a perfect nudge can lead the ball to just the perfect spot on the flipper so you can collect those 100 pts.
Quoted from swampfire:These pups never drove without power steering.
Right you are!
