Not sure if hardest ever but yes I have trouble with it. Surprisingly lately I have been hitting it during multiball to add an extra ball which is a neat feature. But during normal play hardly hit more than once and never 5 times yet.
Congo volcano shot through the pops is one of the most difficult and enjoyable shots to hit in pinball.

Not many people know this game but the treasure shot in escape from the lost world. You have to shoot the 3 drop target, then ou have 30sec to shoot the cave, then cross the narrow bridge of gold (upper left flipper, second level)and then shoot in the door (upper right flipper, third level) before it closed.
This thread is going to be all ss and dmd games with people listing shots that pros make a hundred times in a row in their sleep. The real answer is a shot on some 50s game with 2" flippers or 40s game with reversed flippers in the middle of the playfield.
Is there a shot where it is impossible to cradle the ball and aim? Not being able to take a deep breath and aim makes it a lot harder. At my local arcade, hitting the ring in LOTR requires that the ball be hit while in motion to get enough speed.
The EB on WH2O is pretty tough from a stand still. You almost have to let the ball roll off the tip of the flipper to hit it. Then the return off of the target (or the post next to it on a miss) is a total crap shoot
