I've seen something like this in the past and the spinning joker reveal can on BDK usually wins. Just kidding. My favorite are:

    JP Dinosaur eating the ball
    BDK moving crane
    MM exploding castle
    A13 rocket

    MM exploding castle

Exploding castle gets my vote too.

I'd say the only good thing about FG & Shrek, the pinball machine on the playfield. Fantastic toy.

    #10 11 years ago

    Jump rope on CP
    Crane on BDK

    #11 11 years ago

The boxer and jump rope on Champion Pub are cool.
    The Ringmaster on CV.

    #12 11 years ago

    Rudy on FH

    #13 11 years ago

Super charger on hs2 gets a lot of coolness points from me

    #14 11 years ago

Tube dancer gets one vote...but I really like the bride on BOP .

    #15 11 years ago

    Pinball Magic wand.

    #16 11 years ago

A tough choice but, I would have to go with the MM castle.

    Honorable mentions
    TZ gumball machine
    BoP robot
    STTNG Borg ship
    Satellite dish on Goldeneye

Castle is the best toy ever. It's a beutiful looking castle with fully functioning mode, drawbridge, and gate, but wait there's more ....and it explodes!

Close second is Rudy from Funhouse. His eyes and mouth open and close. His eyes follow the ball. He throws insults while you play. Finally you can shut him up and stuff his mouth with the ball. And the animation, sounds, and light show when you start multiball are fantastic!

    Cheers,
    Duane

Just based on the games I have played:

    - If considered a toy, the backglass playfield on Bonzai Run has to be tops for me for the challenging physics and how unique it is.
    - Second would have to be the JP T-Rex
    - Third goes to the magna-flip mini playfield on TZ

    #19 11 years ago

MSF frankenstein who throws the ball at you to start Multiball and is constantly watching you
Blinders on Tommy if that can be considered a 'toy'
Mist multiball on BSD, again if that's considered a 'toy'
Wrecking ball on JY is fun to smash (but get's repetitive)
    CFTBL Hologram
    CP Jump rope

    #20 11 years ago

    The Flipper

    #21 11 years ago

I am the ringmaster, you must challenge me!

    #22 11 years ago

Upper playfield on TZ always makes me happy.

    #23 11 years ago

    Rudy
    Ringmaster
    Castle

Respect to the old schoolers of diverters and ramp lift, for adding diversity and deeper challange to the game.

The glove on JM is pretty cool and interactive too

    #26 11 years ago

The TOM trunk is my favorite, followed by the Family Guy mini playfield.

    #27 11 years ago

I think the ship in POTC is cool

    #28 11 years ago

All of the above, including Jodi Foster

    Quoted from mwong168:

    +1

The Ring in LOTR is awsome.

I have my LOTR set on 2 balls for DTR. The ring will catch the first ball at the end of the mode and then you have to hit the second ball into the suspended ball to push the suspended ball through the ring. A perfect shot is needed to do this and its so satisfying.

POA form Indiana Jones is cool / challenging

Things Hand and Book case is really sweet also

always got a kick out of the borg ship on STTNG

    #32 11 years ago

ship on POTC is not too bad.

i'd take a jodie foster also!

I think the MM castle wins this poll easily. Runner up is "Thing" on TAF.

    #34 11 years ago

If you take the era in which it appeared into account I don't think anything can compare with Rudy.

+2, but I have to include the ball-lock matrix as part of the toy "package". Multiple layers of strategy (memory game awards/spots determine jackpots/tic-tac-toe) make this one a winner.

Oh so wrong ... gets my vote tho

Took the words out of my mouth.
Thing is simple and underrated, but adds so much to the game and theme.

TOM trunk is another great one!
IJ path of adventure gets me too.

    Too many choices.

I must agree, Rudy is the first thing that comes to mind. It realy made you go "wow" first time you saw it in the 80's. And still does.

When I first got JM I use to just drop the ball randomly to the matrix to form a tic-tac-toe line and not pay attention to the matrix before the machine gives you control of the glove. After that I was putting up much better scores and getting further into the game modes Also I remember the first time I got multi-ball it was pretty intense as the matrix dumped all 3 balls at once!

Another cool and interactive toy are the phurba ramp divertors on the Shadow and even the breakout style battlefield is a cool toy too.

Flintstones ramp with divertors that can feed the ball to either flipper is pretty unique too.

    90's

    #43 11 years ago

there is a lot of love for BDK crane but shouldn't also go for LAH too.

    #44 11 years ago

    POTC ship
    Ark on IJ4
    Sanctum lock on Shadow

    #45 11 years ago

Rudy, followed by T-Rex, and BOP Head.

It came out in 1990, but I think the BOP head was as cool and better.

Other toys I like are the CP jump rope and the TZ magnet flipping as a couple others mentioned. The coolest thing I see on a pin is the most simple. The mirror on TOM. It makes it look like the ball is floating everytime I see it. Not sure if that is a toy, but it is cool.

    #47 11 years ago

    Rudy!!!

    #48 11 years ago

I have to say the castle on MM is the hands down winner as well.

    Rudy

    honorable mention:
Pirate ship on PoTC -more visceral interaction than the MM castle which is a close competitor

    #50 11 years ago

    sinking institute is kick-azz
