We have a PRO Budget, The next machine we want is Deadpool. Seems like a great value for a pro.
Not sure if game play suffers compared to Premiums or LE
What Machines do you guys think are the best PRO's?
    Thanks and everyone be safe!

    Deadpool is a good choice

Jurassic Park or Iron Maiden. Brilliant rulesets on both that translate well to the pro versions.

Star Trek is an amazing Pro

I ended up liking TWD pro over the LE/Prem.

Both good answers. I’m a Pro guy. I always have been. I usually end up liking the Pro more than anything else. Partly for the better value, but also for the durability. The Pro is also usually faster than the upper models, and I love my speed.

So really, on every game the Pro is better... except Deadpool. That orbit shot that comes around. Yeah, that’s the one game I’d go Premium on. Stern sometimes hits that one feature difference that makes me say sure, that’s worth it.

All depends on family preferences. For us, it was Star Trek Pro. 3 flippers, 3 ramps, cool toy w/ magnet, and awesome layout.

JP Pro is one of the best layouts, but incredibly hard to shoot for beginners, so young'uns may not like it after a few plays of short ball times.

IMDN is an easier shooter than JP, but not a great family theme. Deadpool, when dialed it, is an awesome game, but I also think the "drooped flippers" make cradling hard which kids will quickly learn helps their ball times. GOTG, SW, and Munsters all have fairly friendly shots, but 2 get dogged for lack luster code, and one gets dogged for too complex code.

You probably won't find your answer here. I got my answer when my son destroyed a Star Trek Pro at an amusement park when he was like 7. It's about trying a bunch of things and seeing what's best for your family. Good luck with the hunt!

Metallica, Game of Thrones, Star Trek, Star Wars, Maiden and the Walking Dead all totally rip. In the case of GOT, SW, and TWD I prefer them to the premium. Deadpool premium squeaks by because I love that left orbit lift ramp.

Twd pro is great as well as metallica. Maiden definitely better as premium

    #14 4 years ago

Star Trek Pro Vault is great. One of the smoothest, fastest and best games out.

    Metallica
    Star Trek
    Deadpool
    Iron Maiden

These 4, to me, are good enough in their pro versions that you don’t need a premium.

ST, what a high energy pin! Just a blast to play. Add a sub and the 3rd party audio - wow!

I agree with half this sentiment. TWD Pro is one of the few cases where the Pro is hands-down, no contest better than the Premium/LE. Maiden I still prefer the Premium. We had the pro for a LONG time and I wasn't sure I'd like the Premium upgrade, but it's GREAT.

    Jurassic Park. Pure genius

    #21 4 years ago

    Yep

    #22 4 years ago

Deadpool, Jurassic park, guardians of the galaxy in my opinion!

    #23 4 years ago

GOT and SW for sure. The rule sets are amazing and the Pro's play faaaaaast. Honorable mention to DP and JP, but the premium features are much better.

    Add a poll. Multiple picks?

SW and GoT - yes! Those are my two pros! I simply do not get sick of them.

I would prefer the premium of each, but like the fact that I won't lose money on either if I ever have to sell them.

I found SW Pro super-boring. Hated it and didn't understand the love. Got a SW Premium in just to make some color brackets and THEN I GOT IT. The Premium is a lot more fun. That hyperloop and force gate adds more than you realize.

Iron Maiden is my pick for best Pro. That's mostly due to me not thinking much is missing from the Premium/LE gameplay wise. Can say the same for ST, but man the light show upgrade on the premium/le is big. GB and TWD are great ones too and can be argued that they even shoot better than the premium/LEs. Deadpool is fantastic, but after playing a Premium, I do miss the full orbit/katana return and Disco ball. I'd still love to own a DP pro though.

I'm going to vote for metallica pro. I really want the monsters premium but a pro fell into my lap. Really happy with it and my wife and 10 year old like it a lot.

    #29 4 years ago

    Metallica!

    #30 4 years ago

    Iron Maiden hands down

    #31 4 years ago

How about any of the CGC Classic versions of AFMr, MMr, MBr?

    #32 4 years ago

I love my Deadpool Pro and think it’s a great game that didn’t see too much added in the higher models. It’s all subjective. However, my personal opinion would be to stay away from Star Wars Pro. It loses A LOT of playability without the Hyperloop.

I wouldn’t call those “PRO budget.”

Actually with new stern pricing they are pretty close.

Love the bill the cat picture!

first choice is Iron Maiden, SEcond is Jurassic, third is Star Trek

Couldnt disagree more, Had the pro and it was disliked by everyone. The premium has so much more.. if you dont like the crossbow, turn it off. The color changind Gi, the walker bombs, the extra magnet, the extra bash toy, 2 spinners, the extra drop target, the color changing inserts telling you where to shoot and what mode you are in..... when I see a walking dead pro anywhere, I just walk on by as once you play the full featured version, the pro is beyond stripped and lacking.

Agree completely with everyone saying star trek pro.. its a nearly complete game in the pro.

    #37 4 years ago

Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, and Metallica. I'm aware these are three music pins, but they are awesome as pros.

TWD is good as a pro, but I vastly prefer it as a premium.

Crossbow should never have been brought forward from Austin Powers. Major feature in the Prem/LE game. Sucks.

Magnet position and implementation sucks in TWD. Don't need more of them throwing the ball SDTM. The Pro is a little more manageable because there's only one, and it's higher up.

Color changing inserts are the bomb. Always. Can't fault that one. Walker bombs are also fun.

TWD is easily one of the best Pro Sterns, probably top 3.

    Aerosmith. Awesome game

    #40 4 years ago

    Game of Thrones

    #41 4 years ago

Star Trek pro. Fun as hell, great theme, built like a tank. Mine has over 50,000 plays.

    #42 4 years ago

    GOTG
    Star Trek
    Iron man VE

    #43 4 years ago

Aerosmith and Maiden for me. Haven't played JP but sounds pretty good as well.

    #44 4 years ago

Metallica Pro! Such a fun game.

    #45 4 years ago

Iron Maiden, Deadpool, JP, GOTG. Can’t go wrong with any of them. The cleland sound mods on Deadpool and GOTG are a must have.

    #46 4 years ago

Could LOTR be considered a pro since they did make an LE?
    If so then LOTR!

    #47 4 years ago

TWD Pro. One of the best.

    #48 4 years ago

Deadpool, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Kiss, Star Trek, Black Knight Sword Of Rage, Guardians of the galaxy, and TWD.

    #49 4 years ago

Metallica is the best pro ever imo. The extra features in the premium/LE are cool, but completely unnecessary. I have the same enjoyment playing all models.

Star Trek pro is another that I have just as much fun playing as it’s premium counterparts. I do wish they added a kickback on the pro though. The virtual kickback is pretty lame.

Out of the new games still in production, Deadpool would be my first choice.

    #50 4 years ago

If we're talking Stern specifically then I'd say Deadpool or Star trek.

In regards to any base model pin then I'd probably go with AFMr Classic.
