Tell me what your favorite frozen pizza is. Can be thin or rising crust (or anything in between). Preferably something that can be bought at most large grocery stores (so that I can try them). Bonus points for listing specific toppings.

Walmart makes pizzas that are both good and cheap. My favorite is the bacon pizza. Aldi has pretty good pizzas too.

If you are just looking for something you could find anywhere, go with dijorno

Kroger brand (if you have a Kroger in your area). My wife and I really like the thin crust. But we all know Totino's Party Pizzas are the best. Fold it up like a taco and go to town.

    #10 4 years ago

I'll take a regular Jack's Bacon Cheeseburger (or even just Pepperoni) over any of those frozen "rising crust" pizzas. I think it might be that frozen crusts are just bad, so it's better to have a crispy thin crust.

The pizzas I listed are between $5.50 and $3.50. Decent restaurants on the east coast typically charge about $15 for a pizza. Sometimes it is just handy and cheap to have it ready to cook, and delivery pizza from major chains that deliver gets boring and tiresome pretty quick.
Restaurant pizza will always be the more desired pizza but sometimes you just don't feel like getting out of the house or paying more than double.

I like Jack's Supreme. Not really all that "Supreme" toppings wise, but I like the crispy crust and they taste good. And they're crazy cheap, like me.

I don’t know about frozen pizzas anymore as making homemade pizzas has been a hobby of mine for the last few years.

Donatos might be more of an Ohio thing -- their thin crust with edge to edge pepperoni has always been a favorite of mine.

Not frozen but my latest obsession has been the stone fired pizzas at a place called Rise Pies. . . I will often buy two and freeze one for later. I like pizza.

    Now that looks good.

I'm not doing much frozen pizza much anymore since we've got a place in town that people come from all over So Cal to eat at.

It's called Angelo's and Vinci's and has been there for decades. Plenty of pictures of famous people that have eaten there, even David Hasselhoff in their take out section.

I order the taco pizza they used to serve us in school back in the day from gordons food service.

    #32 4 years ago

Heggies pizza and brew pub lottza motza top the list. Tombstone follows up on my list I like Digornos but it can be too much bread.

    Tony’s, Torino's and Jack’s is cardboard junk.
Even Red Baron gone down hill.

My pizza run for a quick dinner and movie tonight with the kiddos (based on your recommendations of course). Playing on the big screen will be adult favorite Detective Pikachu! The meat pizza is for the kids and the (WI based) Buffalo chicken will be for me and the lady.

The Stouffers will be for a different day. Will report back with my 30+ yrs of frozen pizza experience.

I make thin crust pizza when I have time and want "good" pizza, but some days you just want turn on the oven and throw one in without any work.

    #40 4 years ago

I've had those Stouffers french bread pizzas, not bad, but their Lasagna is pure barf.

    #41 4 years ago

I haven't had them before either. Was just surprised with all the sophistication present here on the boards that they would be recommended!

My guilty pleasure are the pizza rolls. I could do a giant bag by myself.

Used to do the Freschetta supreme, but I'm off frozen now: mostly get Papa Murphy's take 'n bake. They don't do as many 50% off email deals as they used to unfortunately, that's about as cheap as frozen when they do.

I used to like Oh Boy frozen pizza when I was a kid. Came two in a box for 99 cents I think. So long ago, I can't even find it on the interwebs.

Can't comment as I don't recall ever buying a frozen pizza. That's setting a pretty low bar.

We've got 100s of frozen pizzas to choose from, and even more pizzarias, but what I really wish is that Mrs. Paul would make a comeback in our area.
