T2, Star Trek and The Getaway are all superb, but LZ is his masterpiece
And the best thing right now is it’s a sleeper. Most of LZ’s critics have either barely played it or seem fixated on the art

Quoted from beelzeboob:That's just it; I can't really put my finger on it. But there are a lot of people on Pinside that judge a game simply based on how much crap they stuffed into the game, and that doesn't necessarily equate to an addictive game. For me, a masterpiece is a game you keep coming back to over and over...even if you have other amazing games in your collection. I played STh almost exclusively in 2020 when it "wasn't safe" to go out. When LZ came around, I started playing that exclusively in 2021.
I have ACDC, JP, GOT, IJ, SW, etc. - but they don't get nearly as much play from me or others.
BUT...everybody's taste is different. There are many who think TZ is a masterpiece, and although I love the theme, I really hate the game. (Maybe because I'm more of a flow guy?)
What makes an incredible game is always a little bit indefinable. LZ seems barren and artistically challenged but what is there is amazing, topped by the Electric Magic device. It is just so playable and fun, with that trademark Ritchie flow
He was at the top of his game when he designed LZ in my view
