Threads have gotten huge & it's difficult to find the info but I feel like I read somewhere SP is scrapping their zombie girl game in favor of a new theme drawn by a really well known artist?

    Or was that game 3?

Or was that not true at all?

Is the zombie game no more?

Who is the artist & what is the theme (rumored to be)

As you can see I have no idea

Game 3 is supposed to be Bible Adventure or something simmilar.

    You're kidding right?

most recent spooky podcast mentioned, I believe they said game 2 is that their zombie game has been scrapped but I think the zombie layout is being used for a licensed game

    #5 4 years ago

I thought they said something about it being a licensed theme. I'm not sure if it has been announced or what has happened to the zombie themed pin.

Wonder if they are waiting until all AMH are shipped before announcing the licensed game?

    Any rumors of its license?

How about Return of the Living Dead? Great flick. Decades before its time.

Follow up franchise sucked, but first was epic.

    #9 4 years ago

Check out the results of a poll on the theme for the next game on Spooky's website, they seem to listen to their customers. Zombie theme is dead last, so no wonder if it's scrapped

    #10 4 years ago

I thought Bible Adventures as a theme was a joke at first as well but was told that Ben has been thinking about that theme for some time now. Personally I would love to have a Bible Adventures pinball machine, Trinity multiball, last supper mini wizard mode and end times judgement as the grand finale.

I think the Bible Adventures would make a great theme. A lot of people would probably bash it because it's a religious theme but if you don't like it just think of it as a fantasy game. I think the artwork and modes would make a great machine.

And the official artist for said licensed theme will be doing the artwork for the pin.

    No

    No bible pinball please

We couldn't discuss the game here anyway

It's part of the Pinside rules lol

    #15 4 years ago

I don't think pinball and religion should be mixed, just like porn and religion shouldn't be mixed (Larry flint taught us that) but man how good is it to see a guy succeed in making an idea of making pinball machine s a reality. The list of failures is long.

That would be a shut up and take my money theme for me...

    #17 4 years ago

Bible adventures is a terrible NES game and Ben is into video games and modding them Its a joke theme on that

    #18 4 years ago

Charlie mentioned the theme would be disclosed this summer. Licensed theme, playfield design by Ben which will be modified from Ben Heck's Zombie Adventureland.

Rumored themes are Army of Darkness, Rob Zombie, or something similar. Ben and Charlie are likely ensuring AMH has a good plan forward before announcing #2.

Bible Adventures seems to be a running joke. If in fact Ben did make the game, it would be a one-off like Bill Paxton.

You meant to say Pinball Zombies from Beyond the Grave instead of BHZA. BHZA is the Popadiuk game that is now known as RAZA and has nothing to do with Spooky or Ben.

This is Charlie and fam we are talking about, so if it's a cool theme I'd be in. No preorder jitters with Spooky.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a Rob Zombie machine w/art similar to Metallica.

If it were produced by a "no bullshit no drama" crew like Spooky... Stern & JJP would be F'd in their greedy late incomplete bloated leveraged cornholes.

That's some real life David & Goliath shit (see what I did there lol).

There was a LOT of discussion about this very possibility on another thread started by Aurich. It's a good read. Started off as an idea for Stern and eventually transformed into a Spooky Pinball opportunity...

Thats an old thread aimed @ company A, by a dude who now works for company B so are we just hoping company C picks it up since company D's license went to da choppah while company E is already a year late as company F's Kickstarter was fake & company G refunded everyone's money & rugs?

Sometimes I think this place is full of assholes lol

Is that how the Rob Zombie rumor started (via wishful thinking)?

Here's the inside scoop: Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper are on tour, and one night they stop to go see a double feature of Army of Darkness and Bible Adventures, hosted in a local theater by Elvira. Half way through the film the theater is attacked by zombie cheerleaders, and Ben Heck rappels down from a Helicopter to hand out glue guns to fight off the zombies.

There was going to be incredible artwork for the translite, but it got all covered up by the title of the game, which is Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper and Elvira's Zombie Army of Darkness Bible Cheerleader Glue Fight.

    jpop has already staked out

wish i was kidding. At least Ben was kidding.

    #28 4 years ago

So the story is there is no story

New boss is the same as the old boss

Well, guess we will find out after all the AMH ship

What we do know is no more zombie girl game. That's cool, I didn't like the art. Hope it's replacement gets the royal treatment.

    #29 4 years ago

When RZAACAEZAODBCGF comes out you'll see how right I was.

    #30 4 years ago

I told you to get in on AMH months ago buddy! I'm sticking to my Elvira guess, and if not now still in the future for Spooky pinball somewhere down the line...I feel confident they will release Elvira 3.

    #31 4 years ago

I'm still sticking with my gut on it being Rob Zombie. I would flip for an Evil Dead/Army of Darkness pin, though. And yes, Return of the Living Dead would also get my $$$.

I guess JPop is a bit sensitive after the "Kiss" incident with Stern

"Ben Heck's Adventures in Hardware Hacking" is the next theme. It is like the movie weird science, only not at all. Instead of building Kelly LeBrock, your mission is to collect all the pieces and code to build a toaster that can burn fractal images onto bread with a laser, and it actually works as it is attached to the machine. Not quite as exciting as building a hot chick, but nerds will find a way to mod it to create a hot chick. Bill Paxton can make a cameo for call-outs.

What incident? He had no business wasting time and money on that custom Kiss themed table. Stern had been in negotiations long before Popadiuk decided to make his table.

He has no track record manufacturing his own pins, he had no hope in hell of ever securing a licence.

    #38 4 years ago

Army of Darkness would get my money.....

Wrong thread, this one is about SPOOKY. But when forced with waiting until June to learn the theme, we'll need to fill the space with something. Come on Spooky, spill the beans now, for real. At least start a thread and give us daily hints or something.

But since you brought up Zidware .... .. I wonder what JPOP offered license holders in lieu of cash to get the license for himself, maybe a few completed KISS machines? Room grew silent, before erupting into a chorus of snorting and guffaws. Security was dispatched to escort John out of the building. As he was being tossed onto the pavement, the guard snarled, "hit the highway".

Pretty sure next game is My Little Zombie Ponies Adventure.

    #41 4 years ago

Well, if you look on the website in the links section, you'll see all the companies they work with or have advertised in the show. And you'll see a link to Rob Zombie's website.
    That's all I know.

    #42 4 years ago

I have my AMH on order and need to recover from that before the next title is announced. Do you really need kidneys to survive? if i sell one now, 3d print a new one, then sell the other i think i can get all the pinballs i want.

i just need to find my 3d organ printer.

    #43 4 years ago

I always thought Evil Dead would make an INCREDIBLE pinball. Just use the eerie music from the Evil Dead remake to make it a dark pin. Common, demon grandmother coming out of the cellar is easily doable on a playfield . You can also get very creative with the necronomicon.

    This is the next theme:

I know they have said its a licensed theme, but I am hoping they stick to their poll results for Classic SCI-FI for a game in the future. May be waiting awhile on that one though.

Chuck will announce in June at the Denver show.

My desire to make "Bible Adventures" (old testament only, and not preachy - just classic story action) is very real. Not sure if it will ever be a game though.

That's pretty lame that JPOP created a site for it. So lame I can't even get mad about it.

I'd love to do Army of Darkness - maybe if the new show crashes and burns it will get cheap again.

I'll be at the Denver show, so I'll make sure to rush Chuck and shake his hand firmly for finally making a great Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.

Bible Adventures... The real "BIBLE" You can't count me in as a buyer, especially if it features really good hand drawn art! So many great stories to choose from and build a game around. Yeah it's probably best to stick to the Old Testament (Noah, Adam & Eve, David & Goliath, Sampson, Moses, Jonah & the Whale, Tower of Babel, Daniel & the Lion, etc. but it would be kind of a shame not to have the final wizard mode be "Armageddon" and I also think the resurrection would make a great multi-ball.-Lock it in the tomb and a ball lock for each of the 3 days. Make it happen Ben! I live close by and would be happy to help out with this one!
