I've got a very nice Jurassic Park with mods & LED's up for trade (working 100%).

I'm looking for an Avengers Pro or DE Star Wars.

New (remake) of the original Jurassic Park movie is right around the corner.....as is the brand new code from Chad!

No Cash offers (I'll be happy to keep JP if I don't find a trade I'm looking for.

P.S. Not in this picture....but yes I have the topper.

My STTNG was a re-import and it's in great condition and been rock solid; as TheLaw said "condition is king".

Quoted from amkoepfer:

I haven't dealt with bay city but that's who has the Dr dude. Its priced a few hundred high, but is full led and powder coated. Anyone dealt with them?

Actually they are pretty cool in person. One of them is a bit "spammy" with the Craig's list ads, but to talk to them in person is a totally different (in a good way) story. Personally I would try and deal with Josh. He has a handle on things and is a big fan of pinball in general.

Although I have not made any deals with them.....just run into them at pinball events.

Quoted from Wariodolby:

Feel free to stop by my house in linden mi and play some pins ,I have my WWF Royal Rumble for sale but nobody seems to want it .
You can do me a favor then report back here on pinside how nice the WWF is

I'd trade with you again anytime......but the theme on WWF is just too far out there for me in such a small collection. I've heard it's a really fun pin and if I liked the theme at all I'd be all over it.

Hasn't there been a Diner for sale in Michigan for a while now......or is that "trade only"?

Looking for a 'Radical'. Played one at Tamoores party (thanks again Todd) & it's a blast! Shoot me a PM if you have one or know of one.
Thanks,

Best of luck....that one might take a while. Fairly rare pin. It's a fun to play that's for sure, especially if you like ramps!

Going to put my AC/DC pro on the trading block. ($4200 Cash price...It's well above that with the mods).

Top pins I'm looking to trade for:
ST Pro & IM

Might consider: Tron, AFM, A really nice DE SW (+cash)....maybe others.

The Good:
Bell Mod, Train Mod, Cannon Mod, Full Cointaker LED kit, Interactive color changing LED's in the backbox speakers, 12" powered Sub and Polk Audio Coaxial's in the backbox, Pinball Life "BriteCaps" Pop bumpers & "Helen" Mylar sticker on the playfield. Playfield and cab are like new condition. Latest code from Stern installed.

The Bad - The pro's came without the metal protectors on the plastic ramps and the ramps did take some damage. Metal protectors have since been added but the damage is still hidden underneath. Game plays perfectly.

Quoted from KeithinMI:

A little bit off-topic, but is there any interest in getting together a bulk order of either invisiglass, PDI, or Bob's glass for machines? I was thinking about ordering a few sheets and I'm guessing we could get a much better deal if we ordered a whole boatload of the glass in one order. I'm in the NW suburbs of Detroit area but would be willing to help facilitate a big shipment of it if there's enough interest.
Has anyone tried this with any success in getting a substantial discount from Invisi or PDI?

I love PDI glass but the cost just seems so ridiculously outrageous to me. Yep, I spend thousands on pins & mods but $300 for glass just seems crazy (go figure). I think the main reason is that regular glass can be had for as little as $20.

So while PDI is really, really cool......it's just not 1400% better than regular glass....1400%!!

#426 9 years ago
Quoted from DylanFan71:

You guys are 100% correct...but I have Invisiglass on nearly all my games. I just love it.

I think when I stop buying pins I'll start buying PDI glass. Either that or PDI cost drops to sub $100....then I'm in.

$5000 routed LOTR with issues wwwwhhhhaaaatttt?

#571 9 years ago
Quoted from hollywood:

Sorry I insulted you man. It is a pretty difficult time with this divorce and I have never really sold many of my games - it actually breaks my heart to even list them after all the work I put into them.
If it is too high, I apologize. I know it was on route....but the issues you speak of are easy fixes that I am just too stupid to do - and with the divorce, getting a cabinet sub is just not practical at the moment. Not to mention almost everything (plastics, figures, ramp, ring, funnel, etc) is brand new.
I know that 90% of mods do not add value, however, I believe 2 on this game do - palantir, and PoTD. Disagree with me on that and that's ok.
I apologize if anyone thought that was high. I didn't even consider exchange. I have been offered 5500$ Canadian which when I checked was 4600$ US.
Sorry if I offended.
Just stress.

You did not insult me. Sorry I came off sounding like an ass. I was just in "one of those moods" if you know what I mean. Didn't mean to rain on your situation. Sorry you are going through that and good luck with your sale. LOTR should be an easy sale.

Okay....thinking about selling my Apollo 13. I know I'll miss it and might even regret it but space is limited and it's time for something new.......that's how I keep this hobby fresh.

Nice overall condition, plays 100% (Including the "moon magnet") & has been LED'd. Original factory mylar (no bubbles or raised corners). Red, White and Blue "BriteCaps" pop bumper caps installed. All thirteen balls recently replaced and Pinball Pro speakers (full kit) installed.

The bad - Has one broken plastic (cracked) on the far left (see pic) and some minor touch up on the cab right near the flipper buttons (flipper wear masked over by previous owner). Also the very top bar of the countdown timer below the rocket does not light up. Never really notice it though.

$2750

Thank you Steve @ Pinball Refinery for all of your effort.....much appreciated.

#723 9 years ago
Quoted from silver_spinner:

i just dont think mods or leds should add to a price honestly. think about it. the game is supposed to come with lamps period. if you remove all the original lamps (which are of some value) and install leds for $200 for example, that doesnt increase the games price $200 (esp since the leds are now used, not brand new). the old lamps are worth something that were removed. that value should be subtracted from a normal price, then add in led price i guess. IDK, when you put custom rims on vehicles and custom paint, stereos...it doesnt raise the used selling value.
it actually makes it less appealing to an overall market.
so if those mods added are whats making the price of a game be increased from the norm, id rather have a stock game with stock parts and pay less.
who knows, maybe I'm alone on this.

"Most" people do not add the full value of their mods to the selling price.....more like 50-70% depending on the mod.....oh and the old incandescent bulbs don't cost much.

So I'll pay a little extra for mods that I personally would have added anyway.....better speakers, shaker motor, LED's......I like those on most machines. I'm certainly not going to give you 100% of your mod value......unless you are a really close friend....then I might.

Tron pro, 2nd run Clu, HUO, 1st owner and never left the house.
- Arcade mod 2.1 (It was 2.something.)
- Dark mirror blades
- xmas light cycles
- Blue warrior topper throwing disc
- Custom Pingulp
- Light up arcade hole
- LEDs
- Arcade hole cliffy
- Ohh Shiiny balls
Some other selling notes about the 2nd run
- Apparently it had better decals than the first run
- There's better leg protectors
Looking for 5,300. No trades. Chances are you don't have what I want anyways. If you can find a better Tron out there, buy it

Great price with the mods. If I hadn't just blown my wad on an IMVE I would've been taking a serious look at this. GLWYS.

I do not buy machines based on the label HUO and you are correct some HUO games arent the nicest..
my location games can rival HUO tagged games.
all pends who owns a game and if they know how to properly upkeep.
what i am commenting about is when someone tries to sell a game on false labeling and a sucker out there buys it in belief its based on the label HUO.
a certain person was selling a Funhouse which he claimed was HUO and it had lock bar holes with eye bolts put in for crying out loud. i also played that exact machine on location where he bought it from...lol..and yeah i called him out on it as its really not fair to a buyer who doesn't know any better..

A very nice Getaway HSII for sale: (Not a CQ pin but much nicer than most)

The Good:
Excellent Playfield.
Full CPR Plastics kit installed recently (game shopped at that time) Original plastics in good condition included.
Mountain Mod - Very sought after mod that is long out of production.
Blue Flashers Mod.
Full Cointaker Premium non-ghosting LED kit installed......looks fantastic.
Pinball Pro Subwoofer installed.
Key Start Mod.
Minimal cab fade.
New Legs.
Original boards - no hacks - no damage
Game plays 100% - No Credit Dot.

The Bad:
Usual but minimal dings and scrapes in the cab.
Minimal flipper button wear.
Small amount of wear in the "1,2,3" inserts above the slingshots on left side. Looks worse in the pics than it does in person.

Honestly this has been the most reliable pin I've owned (not counting my most recent 2014 IM). Since June of 2012 (when I bought it) the only work I've had to do on it was some minor switch adjustments. The ball launch fires the ball all the way around the top and this one just plays smooth......smoother than any other I've played and I've played a lot of them.

$2900 as is or I keep the mountain, the original plastics and the sub and drop down to $2600.

Oh, I will also be including a manual and a police car mod that I never got around to installing. The headlights light up and so do the lights on top.

I think some people just don't like handling thousands of dollars in cash.....that and some might feel funny about 'spending' that same cash on another toy? Game for game with a little cash either way makes thing more 'justifiable' for them?

I've done both trades and sales......and it's just WAY easier to outright sell for cash and then go buy what you're looking for. That being said when a trade does actually work out it does simplify things. One trip to have a new pin come in and an old one go out.

HATE shaker motors. Vibrates the hell outta everything.
Still lookin for mousin around

You know the amount of "shake" is adjustable right? anywhere from 100% to 0%. Yep you can get 0 shake even with it plugged in and turned on to "MAX" in the settings.....just depends on how you adjust the weights on either side. If you set them completely opposite of each other they cancel each other out. You can adjust from there to your liking.

I think they add a TON to modern games that were programmed for them. The "Ram" shot on GOT is a totally different (massively improved) shot with a shaker motor.

Quoted from pmWolf:

Yeah, I don't want to turn this into a discussion on the merits of domestic vs container games...there are plenty of other places where that discussion can take place.
I will say this: I've seen domestic games that are crap, and I've seen container games that are gorgeous. (And...vice versa). If you automatically judge a game based on its import status, that is a bit shortsighted.
A large percentage of my own personal collection has spent time overseas...and I've had no real problems, outside of the typical "pinball is pinball" stuff. Similar issues can pop up in any DMD-era game, regardless of where it came from.
I'm not expecting to change your mind, of course...if it's not for you, it's not for you. I'm just not a fan of spreading misinformation that domestic games are somehow inherently superior. To me, that's a dangerous and misleading message.
Pete

Totally agree Pete. Both my STTNG and IJ are re-imports and both are in real nice condition.

Quoted from Whysnow:

lol.
I just wondered what level of tear down they actually do. I have ocassionally taken on jobs that I call a full refurbish but some may call a 'shop job'. I strip the entirety of the topside while cleaning, polishing, rebuilding, fixing hacks, replacing broken bits, etc... I also take off the majority of the bottomside and rebuild and clean 100% of all mechs. This typical shop job takes me ~100-120 hours and I charge a reasonable hourly fee for my time when I do take these jobs on. $400 for that would be cheap in my book.

Which is why I would never do it for someone else! $400 would be a steal on 100 hours of labor. $850 would be $8.50 an hour; I doubt many around here work for minimum wage.

That LOTR is going to make someone really happy. pin15 was very helpful as a seller.

I'll second that....pin15 was great to deal with.

I think it is caused by an affliction called 'pin syndrome'.

Oh there is a term for it....."hobby". AKA spending crazy money on stuff no one needs and loving every minute of it. If you love a particular game spending stupid money (and time) fixing it up just comes with the territory.

I'm looking for......well something. Sold a game and need to do something with the cash before my wife makes me do something responsible.

TWD Pro maybe
Would love to find a really nice Centaur
TSPP
Family Guy (But I do think those are overpriced)
Tron Pro (Ditto on the price)
Avatar maybe

Other possibilities

Quoted from nosro:

Astropin - I have a Tron that I will be putting up for sale soon. It is heavily modified, so I'm not sure if it is what you are looking for.

Probably too much for me right now. If they can get a "VE" out the door for 5k I'd jump on it.....but they better hurry

#2991 7 years ago
Quoted from Meegis:

I know you posted centaur, but what about other early ss games? Some are just plain fun. Even if the main trick is "rip the spinner"

There are some great SS games.....but Centaur is special. Black Hole is another favorite but I know a couple people with that one and get to play theirs.

$800-1200 for a Black Hole 10 months ago? You should have bought them all. I've been looking at Black Hole for years and it's been above $1200 that whole time....unless it was beat or broken.

If the answer is not obvious to you, it is a dumb question. Or you have never met someone who is self employeed. you pay quarterlys, and in april you pay 2 quarters, also when you are self employeed and you claim income from several diffrent places your tax returs are easily 50 pages. so I hope that answers the question. chris actually answered it better than I did.
every dollar I have is money I can invest in to my business. more pf stock, materials like clearcoat, why would I send the gov a couple thousand early when I dont have enough as it is. I wait till the last day, like everyone who is self employeed and pays, does.

I'm self employed as well.....and wait till the last day to pay. Although my corporate taxes are actually due March 15th...so I get to deal with it twice in two months!

10 total group sheets or more = $255 each
8 total group sheets or more = $265 each
6 total group sheets or more = $275 each

People think those are great prices? Let me know when it gets to $150.

I am getting into the Pinball No-Glare glass business. With some help from a former DOW glass expert, I finally have a sample. *Made in Michigan is always a plus* The cost will be significantly less than the others and should be a far better product. Anyone have PDI/Invisiglass/Stern Anti-Glare on their games? I would like to do a side by side comparison.

Now THIS sounds promising! I'll be very interested in picking some up.

When someone posts a message about selling an item, puts the asking price and everyone else "pouts" about the price... then yeah its insulting. If you think its too expensive.. DONT BUY IT. Period. But Michigan people.. they love to try to get things for the lowest dollar.. insulting.. yes. Again DONT BUY IT. No one asked you to.
Thanks

Well some asking prices deserve to be insulted I guess. It's not our fault you overpaid. This is a pinball forum, not eBay or Craigslist. We know what pins are worth here. If you do happen to get your price then congratulations... you ripped someone else off.

I have decided to let my TWD LE go while I'm here. It has a LOT of nice mods, including zombie head fish tank topper, bloody armor, laser sighted cross bow, undercab lighting, Pinnovator headphone/volume jack, and various other mods, signs, etc. $8k, firm. I'm in Auburn Hills until Monday morning. I can even deliver, within a reasonable area. PM, if interested.

Gribbs is an A+ seller/buyer so deal with confidence.....more than fair price on this one as well.
