Anyone around the Detroit area happen to have a Gottlieb 29154 coil stop, by chance?

I always like to check locally for same day pickup before I order online...

Thanks!

Hello Michigan. Been lurking for quite a while and this is officially my first post and would like to say thanks to the other pinsiders I have met and try to repay the kindness shown to me in this hobby. Having said that I have access to a Stern Monopoly. Not my kind of game so want to offer here at hopefully a tempting price to help get this gone for a friend. Friend runs a vending business and bought this new, had it on route for three years, pulled it and kept it in his warehouse since. Its filthy, the rubbers are shot and half the dmd is out. However, boots and plays and playfield looks near mint with virtually no wear. Cabinet has some expected scrapes / scratches and shooter rod is sticking. PM for pictures. No shipping - local pick up only in 48322. $2,100.00. Not doing a classified and no Craigslist as friend does not want to deal with unknown folks finding out where his warehouse is located. Let the fun begin.

From the bally ss era I have a fully restored, clear coated and led'd strikes and spares. As well as a player's condition Harlem globetrotters.

S&S is perfect through and through.

HG has had the playfield professionally touched up, and cabinet hand painted (looks great until up close). Back glass is bubbling, but save able. Could use a shop. Plays 100%, but can use a couple score displays and light bulbs. I just haven't had the time to give it love.

Not officially for sale. Happy to talk via PM, as you never know what may catch my fancy.

?? for the Michigan group.

Since when is a players condition, fully working Black Hole a $1500 - $1900 game ? ( Michigan Pricing )
I am an Em collector and seldom venture into the SS word . As recent as 8-10 months ago I recall seeing Black Hole pins for $800-$1200

Now they are on the market for an Ask of $1500 - $1900 for a fully working players condition machine.
My question is this. are the ss pins and early gotts appreciating this rapidly or is the asking price for this and other early SS bally / gottlieb's just wishful thinking by the sellers and the actual sale price is most likely much lower than the ask ?

Not sure about Michigan, but the market has exploded here. Anything is gobbled up at first glance, many times sight unseen. Due to this, everyone and there uncle are jumping on the kijiji train. (Kijiji is basically craiglist up here)

#3382 7 years ago

$800-1200 for a Black Hole 10 months ago? You should have bought them all. I've been looking at Black Hole for years and it's been above $1200 that whole time....unless it was beat or broken.

#3383 7 years ago

I just sold one 3 weeks ago in mostly working condition for $700.00 I wish I knew U were looking. we have done sum business B-4 . I sold you those 3 wood pinballs Right ?

I miss the days of the $300 black hole pinball's. But then again I have been making $$$ on selling my collection while the market is high.

The problem is, who knows if the market is high. A Black Hole may be 3k next year. And what do you do when you've sold your collection?

I think the market demand for older, and newer B list games will increase more rapidly. The high price of new games will drive that demand.

Bribo,
Condition is king!

I have seen Black Holes that are water sogged, and looked like they were dragged behind a truck. To get them squared away, it take many hours, and bucks. If someone has a 100% working machine (all displays, mechs, sounds, and boards), I think they can ask what they want.

Also, seeing 1 or 2 local games at a good price, is not indicative of market average. If you search far and wide, and include games that have historically traded for about the same price range, you can see the greater market average.

good luck, my friend

It's a little bit of both. As high A-list titles moved into "I could buy an NIB Stern for that price" territory, the market moved to the lower A and high B's driving all of those prices up. Now we're into the $6250 Black Knight 2K on GR CL, the $1600 Atari Superman that doesn't work (GR CL), the $900 Bally Game Show that doesn't have an MPU, sound board or plunger and the $1600 Bally Eight Ball (both seen recently on FB Pinball Classified Ads).

Sellers are free to list their machine for whatever price they want of course. If the market feels the price is fair the machine will sell. Otherwise it will sit on CL until the price drops or the seller gives up. For example the $900 non working "Flash" in Traverse City is down to $500 now (still not sold though). The $1600 Superman guy comes and goes, letting all of us know that what he has is gold, and if it doesn't sell he's going to send it out for repair and keep it (To whom? None of us will touch it. Maybe the Game Room Guys at $94 an hour...good luck with that. I digress). All in all, pretty crazy market.

#3393 7 years ago

Thats funny that superman is still for sale! I called on that like in april. I do know of a couple people in the hobby who have listed games for sale that they dont own because it makes them feel like they have something others want. Its all messed up.

Looking to sell my gottlieb TAG TEAM Plays great, its got a little pf wear, LED lights $1000
williams OH BOY It has been in the storage room for a year, since I moved it from the little house. Played great then. we can set it up. $500
pf is really nice beautiful early 60's pin chicks. Back glass is good except one color is flaking.

Bally playboy super nice original cab and pf, could clean up even nicer. I have 2 backglasses, one and 8 and one a 9 of 10. you can pick one. plays great with altec mpu, but the BR board is ugly but works fine, so I bought a new one that will come with it. Nice correct legs 1700. I have a cpr repro pf also if interested in going full on restoration.

#3394 7 years ago

Hey Ron,

I will take the tag team if you want to bring it over to WI!

Come hang and party for a weekend!

unfortunitlyn very serious. You take someone who has some psycho in him and give him a computer and time=troll.

Hilton, thats a super nice offer, I just dont trust the shagon wagon any more. she aint what she used to be. I guess I better start thinking of what would be a good pin vehicle. $$$$$$$

no worries Ron. I would love to grab that tag team (played it last time I was over and dug it then). Get yourself a new vehicle so you can haul pins. heck, I bet someone with a big order of pfs needing work would trade you their spare ride. Could work out a win/win.

I need to make it to your party, but unfortunately this wont be the year.

#3399 7 years ago

If anyone is heading this way in the somewhat near future and wants to make some transport money then let me know. Scoop up the tagteam and bring her over. If anyone wants to ride the cargo ship across Lake michigan, it is super fun

#3400 7 years ago

Still on the hunt for a SOF. Will be at Dayhuff's on the 5th.
