It may look like a run in the second and third pics, but that is reflections. It is hard to shoot pf's and make the pics look anything like the actual piece .
Thanks, rk

If theres a run in that playfield im sure its someones drool.

#1903 8 years ago
Quoted from Msch:

But I digress. Whatever, no rush. There's a shitty one at premier lanes I can play until then. I wonder if that operator would sell...anyone know him? Most his pins are falling apart, seems like he doesn't like working on them...

I met Mike once at One Eyed Bettys, he was doing maintenance on a pin. Very nice guy. Some of his pins are in better shape then others, but I appreciate having a local place to go play so many pins. I took my son to Premier, he saw all the pins and said "is this what it was like at the arcades when you were a kid" ?? Yes it was, yes it was.

If you send him a message with any major issues with one of his pins he will attend to them.

Revenge from Mars for sale: $2800

Playfield is in nice shape, has a Cliffy at the stroke of luck hole. Monitor is nice and bright, cabinet is solid but has a good share of marks and scratches, decals are peeling around the legs, Has a new mantis stroke of luck scoop (not installed), has no errors.

So... are we still allowed to use this thread? I'm thinking no as a result of the new marketplace rules... am I right?

I'm guessing yes as long as you list it in the market place. But then, maybe not, since you could bypass paying the $2.00 to have a forum thread listed.

#1907 8 years ago

I might be OK to still post here, as you are not paying for a big headline ad?

I hope it's still allowed.

I too hope it's still allowed. I find this thread much more useful.

#1910 8 years ago

I would guess skirting the headline ad would be fine as long as the game is still listed in the marketplace? I use this thread a lot more than the marketplace so I too hope it's still acceptable

I've told him a hundred times. His games are horribly neglected. He has credit dots on all his DMDs at premier, multiple games down but turned on. I love putting $.50 in a game to have no flippers work. Stealing my money. A shame to the operator business. 60% of his machines have misaligned flippers. He doesn't care. Don't stick up for him.

I just put a restored IJ playfield for sale on the market. Came out just perfect. Read the description in the market listing. Here are a couple pics

Yet people complain when games are .75 or $1 a play for fully working well kept games that you cant win free games over and over. Pick your poison.

#1914 8 years ago

My poison? A working game. I have never balked at paying a dollar for a game yet ALWAYS regret spending money in the MSP airport or at Disney hotels. I don't believe it is too much to ask that a game actually works; it is baffling that anyone would argue otherwise.

I think this was a big part of the death of pinball.

This right here. The freaking POTC at the Beach Club. Wow....awful. Nothing works, it's disgusting, and costs $.75

WDW pins are very hit and miss (usually miss) on whether they are going to be working or not.

DLR really only ever has Indy out and that's been away getting worked on for the last several months.

On the lighter side... you are at Disney World, so go out and have some fun. On the downside, you are at Disney World and not Disneyland - so, having fun isn't as easy these days. Gotta love My Magic+ and FastPass+. Cardinal rule of FastPass... when everything is FastPass... then nothing is fast.

Just thought I'd chime in to say that I was lucky enough to see the unboxing of one of Kruzman's playfields at Expo (a Tommy). It was absolutely breath-taking. I took a couple shots of it, but Ron is right, hard to photograph it with any semblance of representing the real thing. I'm sure that IJ was the same way.

(I hope you don't mind if I upload my shots from a couple weeks back. Flawless work, Ron.)

That game plays just as well as my brothers that is HUO.

#1933 8 years ago

I now have a very nice HUO LOTR with LEDs, pin blades, and color DMD. It is as clean as you will find. I will probably hang onto it, but I can't help dangling it for possible trades. It would have to be something nice-maybe a Metallica Premium. I also have this KISS LE with topper, armor, etc....anybody want LOTR & KISS for one pin and cash? Both are currently in Lake Orion. I can even come to you.

#1934 8 years ago

I've seen Gribbs' LOTR and it is in great shape. Figures on the slings are intact, no wear on the playfield, and it has the rare Path of the Dead exit ramp protector (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/lotr-potd-arwen-protector-ramps-selling-the-rights-designs). I wish I had room for it.

By the way, Gribbs is a straight shooter.
