I may be going to Grand Rapids area tuesday and would love to make it happen then! Please let me know what's out there. Tx! Greg

I have a really nice JackBot for sale in Grand Rapids. You can see the info here:
Quoted from Insane:you're going to have to add on to the game room...
Or get rid of the pool table. It's days may be numbered.
Quoted from Underspin:Laser Cue: $800. Located 10 miles north of Grand Rapids.
The good: Touched up paint, clear coated, plastics overall look good, gameplay solid, cabinet shows a little wear but is solid, new drop target decals, all 4 flipper coils are new, rebuilt power supply, original boards inspected and repaired as needed. Select LED in inserts and backbox, incandescent GI. Recently won the award for "Best of the 1980's" at PATZ last month.
The bad: The backglass is a reprint that I had done myself after accidentally destroying the original. It's printed directly to the glass as has a masking layer. Overall it looks good but the lower displays sit a bit too high in the box. If I have time I'll move the displays down 1/2 inch and take care of that problem.
The ugly: None really. Has been a solid little game and will be hard to get rid of.

Laser Cue is sold thanks everyone for the interest.
Quoted from Astropin:Apollo 13 for sale - Nice overall condition, plays 100% (Including the "moon magnet") & has been LED'd. Original factory mylar (no bubbles or raised corners). Red, White and Blue "BriteCaps" pop bumper caps installed. All thirteen balls recently replaced and Pinball Pro speakers (full kit) installed. Titan pro blue flipper rubber (silicone) and matching slingshot rubber installed.
The bad - Has one broken plastic (cracked) on the far left and some minor touch up on the cab right near the flipper buttons (flipper wear masked over by previous owner). Also the very top bar of the countdown timer below the rocket does not light up. Never really notice it though.
$2700 (firm)
Just played this today and I have to say one of the nicest, if not the nicest A13 I've ever played. Great pin will go to a happy new owner.

It is a very nice machine indeed.
Does anybody have a 1979 KISS project they want to part with? Looking for a complete machine although it can be missing boards, legs, other common parts, etc.
PM me.
Quoted from tamoore:I'm calling dibs on the A13, if it's available....
This would be perfect actually......then I'd still get to play it!
Time to let my CQ Twilight Zone go.
These are the pics of the restoration which was done by Brian Coney.

I've added a ColorDMD and Invisiglass.
The only negative is some wrinkling around the legs.
PM me if interested.

IM - Minty mint, original, low plays, tons of mods, gorgeous - 5900
ECLE WOZ - Minty mint, low plays, some mods and extras - 7750

Quoted from ShinyBall:So Collector Quality (CQ) can have Wrinkling around the legs?
I'm getting so confused...My BSD just became CQ now, thank-you.
I thought CQ had to be original too? Not restored. Not trying start a fight just going by what a dude told me that soldered my CPU board.

To me CQ is better than out of the box.
I have a HEP AFM with a new playfield and I'd say that's collectors quality. My TZ has the original playfield touched up and cleared. Everything has been chromed and looks incredible. Look at the pics.
CQ is not supposed to have decal cabs (unless factory), playfield overlays, translight if orig was backglass......If all that stuff was allowed, we would need a a new ACQ designation - Actual Collectors Quality

how much?

I would say that all HEP games would be considered QC.....and they've been restored but restored to better than new condition.
Quoted from ForceFlow:CQ would either be a flawless original or a high quality restoration that was flawless and could be considered museum quality.
I'm in this camp...But, to each his own.
Just added my NGG to the mix in MI. Would like to trade for a new title +/- cash. Pics in the Marketplace link below.

Upon closer look its got 850 total games played since it was pulled out of the box. I could possibly deliver the game between here and Franklin Wisconsin. There's not a scratch on the game that I know of. Battery's mounted off the board.
Thanks

I just bought Mike's LOTR and have seen in person the TZ in question. Mike was great and very easy to work with. The TZ is gorgeous. Guess "CQ" can mean different things to different people -- some people would take that to mean original machine in as pristine (and potentially slightly imperfect) condition. I personally think this TZ is CQ in that it looks near flawless to me, and most importantly, I would love to have it have it in my collection!!
Anyway, just my $02.

Well, TSPP is gone now (I'm feeling the seller's regret feelings sneaking in already, lol.) Might need to sell one more here though if there is any interest. I always prefer selling to other Michigan pinheads.
Quoted from Astropin:I would say that all HEP games would be considered QC.....and they've been restored but restored to better than new condition.
I dunno...not questioning his work either. Maybe better than new. I like vid1900's post up a few above this one. If a machine is tampered with (even for better) how can it be "CQ". What would you ncall an original nontouched pin then? I mean even if recent replacement parts are better than new due to better technologies, what do we call an original pin without restoration or replacement parts? I thought that was "CQ".
ugh...lil confused but no biggie.
I think the collector quality argument is best served in another thread.
I just bought a nib Metallica pro. It's not for sale yet. Is it collectors quality if it's been taken out of the box? I'd say no!

Its probably not CQ sitting in the box. Get all the switches adjusted properly, tighted down what they half tightened ect.. then maybe if no factory defects. Right now its NIB once you open it its HUO.
Just got in a Rocky and Bullwinkle if anyone is interested will be ready for sale at the end of the month.

I helped Bill (tmontana) get the game into his house today. It was by far the most beautiful, perfect TSPP I have ever seen. It looks like Pinchili did somebody right yet again. Don't hesitate to buy any of his other games. If he says that it's "mint", you can trust that it surely is.

Another mint game AND all that great beer?!?! I was happy playing f2000 in the garage.... In the rain!!!
Anyway, congrats! Let me know when you're heading to the RO. TIM is not messing around. Panel this Wednesday at 7p.
Cheers!

CQ is subjective. what if its a 40 year old machine? to me CQ means the play field and back glass are in very nice above normal condition for its age as well as the cabinet, mechanical parts. these are machines meant to be played. there are steel balls flying around hitting things.
CQ to most collectibles means better than average. not better than new, or restored pimped out. im a collector, and i dont expect all machines i own to be better than new.
so "collector quality" in my eyes is what is CQ for me personally.
think about it, what if there were only 100 of a certain title, and out of all of those 100, the best one is an 8 out of 10 in condition.
but, its the best example on the planet for that title.
so, isnt that one CQ?

Thanks Dave! Always sorry to see a game go but glad it was going to another good MI pinhead.

I think you have a strong argument for "highly collectable".
I don't believe most people, regardless of how many were produced, would expect to see CQ and [8 out of 10] in the same description.

Fire! Pinball machine
I've seen this Fire! machine first hand. Buy with confidence.
well HUO, CQ, hep game, restored, 10 out of 10, mint, near perfect, shopped, cherry, project, packed and palleted, ....all of those terms. people seem to have different thoughts on definition.
ive seen HUO games or restored games play like shhhh. just because someone can make a machine look good doesn't mean it plays good.
there is more than looks when it comes to game play. i dont care if you stripped the cab and installed new decals, installed a new pf and anything else. if you dont know how to properly align flippers, adjust and set kickouts, gapping of leaf switches, proper flipper cab switch gapping and style, EOS style, proper springs for coin tension...and a host of many other little things...then your game isnt CQ IMO.
ill put several of my location games against HUO or drool over everyone on pinside on the jock for certain restorers restored pins any day.
get off the bandwagon and learn to judge for yourself. actually get pinball playing skills and learn to play a game and know how a game should act/play...then judge.
