Listening to a Podcast. The topic of "Toys" came up. They stated Iron Maiden did not have any toys?? What is a toy? What does a toy have to do in a pinball machine, to be a toy? In the game Iron Maiden there at two plastic figures. The figures do nothing but look awesome. They are not Toys?

Easiest examples are bash toys. Rudy from funhouse, sparky from Metallica.

Something on the playfield that interacts with the ball and is usually a sculpted figure or object.

    Examples of toys

    MM Castle
    AFM main saucer
JJPotC treasure chest lock, upper playfield cannon, ship you shoot with cannon, spinner dude on pops. (last one maybe just barely a toy?!)
MET sparky, hammer on prem/le, opening snake mouth

A toy is generally any mech that does something cool or interactive

Not all toys necessarily make the playability of the game better though.

According to The Pinball Constitution a pinball toy is anything that moves, and / or interacts with the ball on a pinball playfield. Stationary objects such as figures and building molds are not considered toys but are rather classified as features.

Wouldn’t the sarcophagus ball lock sort of be considered a toy then ?
