Due to a couple of close calls while driving down the highway I'm feeling the need to get a dash cam for my car. I have no idea what brand/style offers the best features/best quality.

Any suggestions and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

The ProView system is top notch.

Some dude "brake checked" me about 18 months ago. Scared the crap out of me! After this incident I immediately bought a dash cam so if this happens again I won't be a victim. The model I bought actually straps onto your rear view mirror. Since it's disguised as a mirror, you never have to take it down.

Some day I will be upgrading to a 4k dash cam but it seems like most are still only 1080p resolution?
Definitely don't cheap out and get a 720p dash cam, it's way too hard to read license plate numbers!

Having a dash cam has saved my ass more than once. I have the Magellan MiVue 538 but I’m fairly certain there are newer versions out nowadays. It’s been the best one I’ve owned.

As this was started 4 years ago, any current / modern cam thoughts, feedback?

    Peztio FTW.

No battery to expand and contract. No LCD to worry about. Easy to find and download clips to your phone. It’s cheap. I’ve spent many a dollars on cams and this one is a winner. Get their recommended memory card spend a little more money (like $15) so it doesn’t freeze or corrupt.
