Quoted from Mr_Outlane:I would like to bump this thread. There are a lot of new folks buying pinball machines and they should be educated on the subject if they are not aware. Many games out there for sale with credit dots.
And a lot of those credit dots are just the machine asking for its time to be re set.
Its good people dont know about credit dots because most people know nothing about wrenching.
At work people try and request a refund after playing a pin with a credit dot for 30 minutes. Most the time its the game asking to test a switch that hasnt been used in a few games, which usually 9 times out of ten results in a good switch. Which means those players arent good enough to make a ramp, but hey ! They know about credit dots !
Its seriously annoying and honestly, unless you work at an arcade or own pins, you really have no business knowing about credit dots.
Stern doesnt do them. You have to open the machine to get a message.
