I'm working on a friend's TAF and noticed again how dark the overall playfield is on that game (mine is in storage). I'm looking to make it a little more lively and would be interested to see what others have done.

I know LEDs would probably make a big difference but I'm particularly interested in those who have *added* lighting, like spotlights or additional GI. Of course, pictures would be appreciated.

I added a spotlight that shines on the book case, mouted on a standoff to the right near the swamp, and also a green light inside the swamp itself. Made a big difference for only 2 bulbs.

Replace the smoked ramp with clear. LEDs in the pops. Light the swap.

-Added a spotlight (with LED) over the bookcase...makes a huge difference.
-Added a socket/LED behind the "Bear kick" plastic (also have the backboard decal - so that gets lit up)
-Added a socket/LED inside the vault scoop. Having that shot lit really helps aiming/gameplay
-Added the red/yellow light scoop mod inside the electric chair scoop
-Added socket/green bulb (incandescent) in the swamp
-I needed new ramps so I got the clear ones instead of smoked...gives the game a brighter look

I should probably do a light inside the swamp scoop since the other scoops are lit

The game is now perfectly bright...rest of my game is incandescent as I'm not a fan of full LED conversions.

Wrapping up a major cleaning on my TAF. Here's my current setup:

In short: clear ramps, LEDs in the pops and some inserts, lit the swamp trough.

Also changed the color scheme of the pops. The white flippers will have purple rubbers (on order, except mini flipper will be black as they don't make a purple). Blue Cliffy post rubbers. White rings everywhere else. Haven't put Uncle Fester back in his chair yet...
