However, pinball isn't just for collectors. It's important that it can still flourish in the wild. THIS is where I think LCDs can be important. The LCD has the ability to draw people to the game and perhaps people who might otherwise walk right past a pinball machine.
If it can help extend the life of pinball for another generation than its a HUGELY important "innovation" even though it doesn't do anything for the ball bouncing around the cabinet.
