That's only if someone is making the posts from the same ISP. For example one "identity" from a home ISP another from a Cellular provider and another from a connection at work. There are also ways to spoof your IP that's not hard to do at all.

If this is a case of Multiple identities with the same IP addy it would be interesting to see how far back this goes and how much drama was caused as a result of this.
