Greetings -

I was looking at eBay yesterday and came across a Broadway playfield that has a lightbulb (beneath the playfield) at the Ballyhole (#16) hole. I imagine it also lights when the Ballyhole feature is awarded on the backglass. That got me curious about my Ballyhole games, Night Club and Key West. Neither of them has a bulb at the #16 hole, although the shutter on both games has the same cutout that provides space for the bulb on Broadway. I removed the shutter on my Night Club and there are no cut wires or evidence that a past operator removed the bulb. I looked at the Broadway schematic and didn't see the bulb referenced, but maybe I just didn't see it.

Anyway, I'd appreciate it if someone who has a Night Club, Key West, or another Ballyhole game would confirm that your game does or does not have the lightbulb at #16.

I've attached two photos. One is of the eBay Broadway with the bulb. The other is of my Night Club without the bulb.

Thanks.

My Night Club does not have the bulb either... I wondered what the extra space was for on the shutter when I did my playfield swap! Thank you for this.

Too bad Bally eliminated the Ballyhole bulb. I think the illuminated Ballyhole is a super cool feature!

I agree! It's like the Gobble Holes or the rollovers. Nice to have the light to tell you you've got it! I wonder if it caused issues or went out frequently or similar and that is why they changed it?

Oh wait! My game was missing the shutter (this was over a year ago - a bit fuzzy). I think the shutter I'm using came from a different game, but I've certainly seen other Night Clubs with the notch and no bulb, so you're still correct that they removed it between Broadway and Night Club.
