    Gonzo. Disappeared. Gone threads gone.

Posts show up via forum search though.

Am I missing something or have I just entered the dimension of the Twilight Zone?

    Basement?

    #3 8 months ago

    Another FBI cover up...

Seriously, I hope they make both of these titles though.

    #4 8 months ago

Likely removed since they were posted at the request of Kaneda.

    Someone actually started one?

Yes, there was a few threads.

Srsly, I get that Oktoberfest might not be a great theme but vs "a license of a mostly forgotten movie that never was really popular (like Ghostbusters, BTTF, Star Wars, Alien...) to begin with, but has a cult following" is kinda senseless.

Nontheless I'd start a thread to get a free Tshirt.

    #8 8 months ago

    I vote for Oktoberfest!

why cant we just have a Kaneda pinball machine?

It's like religious themes, it's not allowed on pinside.

how many trolls would be on the playfield tho? Or just ONE really big one that pops up? The people need to know.

JJP have this theme or did deeproot already think of it?

Are you saying Ghostbusters, star wars and alien were forgotten and never really popular? Or am I misunderstanding that.

    When did those happen?

Not saying they are not old, I was just wondering what he meant by "never really popular" since star wars and Ghostbusters are two of the highest grossing movies ever. Was he saying the movies were never popular, which isn't true, or the idea of a pinball machine based on the movies wasn't popular.

Do you feel the original star wars, Ghostbusters and alien are mostly forgotten? As movies?

How bout "not very memorable" .

Ok, wow, I would have never thought that was the sentiment for those movies. They are all very memorable to me. Maybe an age thing, I'm 40.

    #17 8 months ago

Hmm. I can’t find it anywhere. Not even in the basement.

Oh I remember those movies, but for the most part try not to.

I thought you were asking about the pinball games which are even less memorable.

I would be very stupid (and obviously wrong) if I'd say that.

BTTF, GB, SW, Alien (and more) are all time classics, that are still popular, getting new merch, games and stuff.

Big Trouble in little China is... a movie with a guy that is nowadays mostly known beeing the base character for Metal Gear Solids Solid Snake.
It's a great move, as is Escape from LA and New York but it doesn't have a broader appeal than "Oktoberfest" (wich noone may care for but have at least heard of).

And don't get me wrong I (!)'d buy an Escape from LA pin.

I just clicked on your link (thanks) but the message I get says its a restricted sub forum to which I have no access ??? I just made a Pinside donation earlier this year wonder why its still restricted to me ?? any Mods care to weigh in on this ?

You may have to change your settings to get it back, I had to.

Yeah, basement's still there, but the original topics about this thread seem to have completely vanished like so many other farts in the wind. And this one is sure to follow.

    #33 8 months ago

It's restricted because you don't have it enabled. Go into your forum settings and scroll down a little bit. You should see an option that gives you access to the basement.

A bunch of people posted duplicate threads in a short amount of time. It appeared to be an attempt to spam the site for some reason, so they were deleted.
