No code, but no sheet metal head so I guess its a wash!

Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Add Stern Bond owners to the list of people waiting for a code update.
They haven't been waiting years.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:... A negative perception about the companies code support starts to brew.
Just wait till they start threads aboot it!
Quoted from PanzerFreak:Stern does it again! This is the 3rd or 4th time Stern has done this over the last few years. Meanwhile it’s been 18 months since the last GNR code update.
I’m going with a Godzilla Premium as my next game, Godfather looks cool but I don’t trust JJP right now with properly finishing / polishing code
[quoted image]
Zillas fun for sure. I'd like to Play a Godfather (even after the Raymond video) but haven't run into one yet.
Quoted from DudeRegular:Got a video link?
Sorry it was a Karl video
Literally first shot of game leads to a 5 minutes MB
Quoted from JWJr:I'd love to see that same quick ball save on DI, when the theater magnet drops the ball. Nothing like making the shot the game is demanding and having it flush your ball as a reward.
You have the magnet setting correct so it flings the ball to the pops right?
EMP is one of the only time (i can think of now) it drops without the target beneath it
Quoted from mrossman5:3 of the 4 theater mini modes will also stop and release the ball while moving the electric company target to change its trajectory.
Correct
Quoted from TheLaw:... it drops without the target beneath it
Quoted from iamabearsfan:...Could be the power coming into the house....
So JJP loves to claim
Quoted from LTG:Hopefully not like in the past.
I'd hate to lose Eric, Keith, and Ken.
Though other companies would grab them quick.
LTG : )
Stern grabbing Eric? I think they're OK.
Spooky is a family thing. 'Merican...don't know.
Quoted from m00nmuppet:.... I think Bond already has two wizard modes so far, and people still kicking that one for code woes.
Don't forget JJP invented calling a ton of shit wizard modes; so JJPOTC probably has like 12 already.
For the other half, peeps will say "ah shucks I ain't never gonna get to the wiz mode anyway huh huh."
Quoted from RCA1:Add in an apparent "screw you" attitude about playfield quality issues.
I thought the quality was bar none above everyone else?
Bwaahaha. Seriously, people still claim this shit.
Quoted from EaglePin:The promise was official. It’s in the rules chart they made for the game and on the playfield.
Watch for the ACDC defense!
Quoted from EaglePin:Lol I don’t know what that is and I’m guessing I don’t wanna know
I guess there's a cannon mode they never added to the game/code but it even has an insert on the PF. Ritchie considers the game complete but people always argue over it.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:Are there any updates from JJP? Nope, just silence.
Well....sadly the "updates" are to remove scorbit
Look, it's a mess.
Priced for the home market, Updates for location
EDIT: And...well....the Eric issue.
Quoted from dpadam450:Just curious what was that bug?
There isn't one, but he thinks it's a better game by making it super easy in the settings.
Ahhh that's what they've been working on all these months.
Does anyone have a link to an over long video of the EQ in action?
Quoted from cybevenom:.... Jack Danger designed that JJP menu system back in the fay...
He did? Then please Stern let him update us out of the 1990s
Quoted from PanzerFreak:Just curious why is a lifetime audit option a bad thing? I suppose it's something buyers may obsess over if they think play counts are too high.
You answered your own question there.
Quoted from Alaskanzen:Spooky isn't entirely blame free, however. They touted updates for RAM that never came (this was a licensing issue, but still, the planned updates never materialized). Spooky can be lauded for a lot of things, but legacy support for their games beyond Halloween isn't one of them.
And Halloween isn't "polishing code;" they're fixing a total breakdown shitshow failure. That, might I add, failed code that was dropped the night before Pre Monies for Scooby were collected.
Quoted from TigerLaw:.... If someone bought a godfather from them they are very likely to buy another game....
Are they
Quoted from darkryder:...Eventually, someone will figure out how to recode these games
Ha, we're in the very early stages of thst now; and it's utterly terrible
Quoted from thechakapakuni2:Do tell? I was thinking about this the other day on how to go about re-coding GNR. I thought I read on a post where Keefer gave some detail on it. I can’t remember exactly
Oh I meant older games. It'd taken a long time to get just to this point, dreaming aboot modern games is far away. Plus, yiu just have some yahoo making thr code, and it isn't easy.
Quoted from Animal:Nope, its on the record, he gave it away, clearly he didnt like it. "he helped create it" lol, please that's all marketing bullshit...man you have really drunk the kool-aid!!!! Man, next thing you will say is "its a concert in a pinball machine." Wait, you already have, lol.
The "concert in a pinball machine" thing is aboot as dumb as the "clearly he didn't like it" angle.
Looks like a push there.
I'm sure he helped design a little bit of the PF, threw out some ideas.
Quoted from EaglePin:...Different programmers put different values to it, and even then it’s still just a squishy estimate.
And diff'rent design teams release & update games diff'rently.
Quoted from iamabearsfan:Sounds like there is movement. This was cut from the GnR thread. I guess this was posted on the 22nd by Keefer. Crossing fingers...
[quoted image]
That's a quote from 2 years ago on Pinside.
Quoted from Trojanlaw:The quote is from February 22. I saw it myself.
It's a quote from 2 years ago. It's brought up again & again as a joke.
You should post your quote from another site if you can grab it. I'm just referring to this one.
Quoted from iamabearsfan:... I would guess the % of pinsiders would be higher, but I really wonder if more the 10% of pinsiders could really do it.
You wouldn't think it, but then we'd have to knowm rhe % of people that play 5 ball & award EB for Specials/ replays etc. Probably a large amount
