Just rolled my Iron Maiden game into the shop that I've had for almost 16 years. It's always been in the line up with the other games but I never shopped it out (yeah I'm a little behind on things). I've bought new rubbers, drop targets, post nuts...etc. Plus I'll be replacing all the light sockets and who knows what else once I really get into it. So it got me thinking, what games are you guys working on right now?

Great topic! I just picked up this sorcerer for a song. It's pretty rough right now though. I have it functioning and playable after a few days of work. We have a tournament at my place later this month, then after that I'll be tearing it down for a full on restoration.

Working on my Banzai run for a couple of weeks trying to get it playing again. Game was pulled apart and sat in a storage building a long time before I purchased it. Complete playfield teardown and one hell of a cleaning. Looking good now with a Lot of the electronics repaired, still have a long way to go though.

Just got an Addams and gonna start tearing into it this weekend. Sat in a non pinball person's house. Really nice cab. Playfield has some insert wear in the typical places but in general a really nice looking game. All plastics are clear and intact without even a crack. Original board are in great shape. They did have some batteries starting to leak however the corrosion was not even on the battery holder, just the batteries. Still removed it and replaced for good measure.
I am on the CPR list however I am not sure if it is even worth doing the swap.

Working on my $100 Seawitch project. After doing all the board upgrades, adding NVRAM, totally rebuilding rectifier board, & repinnning ALL Molex connectors (male & female) I turned it on for the first time this morning.
    IT LIVES!
Now to attack playfield & replace light sockets and fix sketchy mechanicals...

Paragon cabinet swap. The cabinet is pretty bad and we broke the head bottom board completely loose rolling it out at the end of PATZ.

The game my dad had working in the 80's when I was a kid. Then it sat in my brothers garage 25 to 30 years until I rescued it from him. Still needs a lot of work, but its getting there. Got a new backglass from BGresto and I'm almost done shopping the top of the playfield. Not a full restore but just clean and get it working again is my goal. My dad passed in 2011 so I'm thinking about him as I work on it.

It really isn't far the before and after pictures there. It really oversights how difficult a job that is, and the work you put in - that is simply amazing.

As for me, I am doing my AFM. We did a whole playfield teardown to have the original PF clearcoated, only for the clearcoat to fail and unadhere after 1 month. Now, I have a new Mirco PF ready; just have to find time between my Masters degree and my job active duty AF.

    *sigh* Someday...!

    #27 6 years ago

I like that price card john!
    Cool color and font.

Charles with a Banzai Run nice!

    I got nothing right now.

Always wanted a Nugent I would be modding the hell out of that. Adding music and machine gun sounds.

    #28 6 years ago

Thanks CNKay. I've barely touched the IM since rolling it in the shop I'm ashamed to say. Just been too busy with other stuff but I plan on diving back in very soon and I'll try to post some updates along the way.

Currently trying to get these two working. Freedom had some battery damage but after cleaning and replacing them I still have nothing on power up. HH fried a coil when I first powered it up but now it just flashes sevens on all the displays.

Bally Playboy is in shop in a million pieces as I do a very long term repaint of a lot of the playfield.

Also have a Gottlieb King Pin in the shop and have cabinet and head cleared to save existing paint and working on redo for some sections. Playfield is very very good. Will eventually clear but this will be easy and fun.

Here is where I was at on the redo of the PB playfield. I am further along now and have to finish white on lower 1/3 then hit a few blue segments (mostly lower 1/3). Moving slowly but progress has been made.

Just waiting on a few coin door parts from Steve at PBR and this will be ready to fire up. Or catch on fire.

And PS...yes, I know I still have to clean the apron up a bit!

Since you asked. I've been thru every machine I've acquired top to bottom since I picked this one up a year or so ago, and now it's time to hunker down and git her done.

It's either saving the best for last or I knew it would be a real bear to pop out all those sunken inserts without breaking them. All it took was 105 degree day and taking it outside in the sun to make it an easy venture.

FINALLY I've been making some serious headway on the IM game. Now it's been nearly three months since I first rolled it in the shop and tomorrow I'll be doing more play testing and if it all still seems good I can get the plastics put back on along with new shiney speed nuts from PBR. I replaced every single feature and GI socket and bulb on the playfield. Its nice to see all those lights working like they should and I'll never have to worry about them again.

We're in our new house since June and I now have a basement with room to set up and work on all the games I had to keep up on end in my former apartment's dining room. So, I'm finally setting up, cleaning, and tweaking Black Knight and Pinbot for the first time, will be repopulating Earthshaker and Space Invaders, and eventually have a Centaur playfield swap to tackle.

During the Summer months, I'm outdoors pretty much
non stop, but for the rainy days, I took the worst Fun
Park that I had (close to a parts machine), and going
through it top to bottom. Having a (very) parts Funland,
encouraged my decidtion to save the Fun Park..

I tell you what, the IM game was a HUGE pain to get done with three months invested in it. Of course Floyd didn't have anything to do with that......LOL. Even with it FINALLY finished he just couldn't stay off it. IMG_0286 (resized).JPGIMG_0286 (resized).JPG But anyways I'm proud to say that the game is done and it's back in the line up where it belongs and will stay forever. It turned out better in some ways then I thought it would. This example is by no means in perfect condition but what beautiful artwork Parkinson did on this game (and Viper too), it's just too bad Stern couldn't do something this good today. Enjoy the last of the pics while I try to find my workbench again.
