You need to get the special Panzer edition WoZ from JJP. That one never, ever breaks.

Steve Epstein ought to be ashamed of what's going on there.

You should have a Black Hole and Haunted House there for more fun. Aside from the "Upgraded " Cactus Canyon that was trapping balls next to the bandit at least once an hour due to no ball search in the program, those two Gottlieb monstrosities were a headache for all workers at the recent VFW pinball Showcase.

Understandable for the machines that are 15+ years old. They were meant for 3-5 years of location use and then they were to be scrapped or placed in homes for limited use.

Checking holes and not too bad considering this was done in the dark with terrible equipment.

WPT…Upper right flipper stuck

Can you see the cause?

Note the improper parts as well
Williams Plunger and link assembly. Modern pawl and older style link (Tapered)

For the improper parts, you never noticed them before? I thought the WPT has been at Modern for quite awhile. I'm not sure if you do PM looking for loose coil stops or perhaps have the playfield up to replace a lamp or something.

Quoted from Eddie:

As you can see from my post I did notice it
I also check over every part when I have to lift a playfeild
However I am not the only tech at Modern and within the four days that I am not there
Many many things change and usually for the worse
In my case I would have to check every assembly on 30 machines every time I return to Modern and e dry time I would see something. Completely wrong
Maybe this was the first post that you have read about what failed at Modern?

This is not the first post I read about what failed at Modern.

From your recent post, I saw where you mentioned improper parts. I took this as you noticed the improper parts on the flipper that failed meaning that you did not notice them earlier. I had no idea that you are one of several technicians working on the pins there.

As far as your earlier posts that may have mentioned this, I can't remember back that far.

Quoted from Eddie:

On the WH20 Topper only 194 bulbs are to be used. If you claim to be a Pinball tech shouldn't you know this?

Find out who did that an educate them or have them relegated to freeing up stuck balls.

Make sure Steve is made aware of this.

Quoted from Lame33:

And just at Expo, Steve was supposed to headline a seminar called “Teaching an Old Dog New Tricks: Making a Pinball-Only Arcade Work”. I guess the bloom is off the rose.
Sorry to hear about your situation and thank you for what has been an entertaining and informative thread.

Regarding the Modern Pinball seminar at the 2015 Expo; Although Steve had to fly back home for a family emergency, Roger & Dave presented with no mention of storm clouds on the horizon. What a difference two weeks makes, eh?
