New guy question : I have read the term "fish wear" in several market posts but I am not sure what it means.
Anyone willing to take the time to explain or better yet post a good example of what it is?
Thanks

roadshow can get fish wear from the ball ejecting the lower scoop, fish tales can get fish wear around the lower inserts,
fish eyes is usually from maybe a clear coat job on a playfield caused from silicone
If you think that's an unusual description of wear, just wait 'till you get to 'James Bond crotch rot'

Or wear on your inner sanctum. They should make a cream for that one.
I may be even more confused than before, but at least I got a few chuckles.
But seriously, how is fish wear any different than any other type of playfield wear? At first I thought it was wear specifically on pins with fish, but Roadshow was mentioned to sometimes have fish wear too. Maybe fish wear just refers to the area above the flipper bats? Is it that obvious of a name?
both Fish Tales and Road Show have images of fish on the playfield in spots where wear is common from either kickouts or heavy action. it's not slang for anything. completely coincidental.
The ball kicks out of the scoop on Road Show and can cause wear near or on the fish. On Fish Tales it's not caused by a scoop kickout but it's still wear on the playfield near artwork depicting fish.
