I collect James Bond 007 Attache Cases from Multiple Products NY 1965. I got one for my 11th Christmas and still have it. Now I have about 30 of them, plus spare parts. I also restored a 68 RS Camaro that I take to car shows. As I read through peoples collections, I thought, "gee, I have one of those, I bet he would like it". I have also been into G Scale trains (LGB). Remote control Balsa airplanes. HO scale slot cars. Yearly coin sets from the mint. Coins of the world, of places I have visited for the last 67 years. Challenge Coins from the military. Pocher model car kits. Lego car kits. Shot glasses from around the world. Matchbooks from Bars around the US and world. Swizzle sticks from Bars.

Vintage Volvo accessory wool blankets dating to the mid 50's. Volvo pin collection, about 200 dating to the 30's and Volvo accessory literature. I had a large collection of rare parts as well but have sold it off over the last 25 years or so.

I have a massive collection of game consoles & Commodore 64 stuff. It’s all in storage until my extension is built. I’ll post some photos when it’s complete.

nice to see pics of those bikes. when we were kids, we had 2 mini trail hondas. I think one was green and another was blue. we also had a yz125 and later a big red. they sat for years in my parents barn so they eventually gave them to a neighbor. Should have known they would eventually be worth something.

My dad still has his 1941(or is it a 42) willys jeep. He just told me the other day he wants to sell it now. It needs a full restoration, but it was running as of about 2 years ago. Its air force blue.

I haven’t read this whole thread, surely some others have slot machines? I have a slot and a video poker, both are fun to tinker with. However, they are difficult to work on relative to pinball. Not as well documented, nor as many experts….or so it seems.

I have a small lil collection of black velvet paintings passed down from my old man. I believe he got most of them in the early ‘70’s from Mexico. I’ve hung a few in my garage, but my g friend won’t let me hang a few..pretty unique, I really don’t know anyone else that has an appreciation for them like I do..and for the record, I’m not into weird satanic stuff. It’s art…

I found a few pics. It was made 4/23/1943. the plate is faded but I am pretty sure it says ford on it on top. my dad got it from one of our neighbors. it went from his barn to our barn. Like I said, its pretty rough. my dad used to love 4x4's he had an international scout, land crusier, 3 ford broncos. My brother just bought the new bronco. So I am sure that makes my dad happy.

Also found pics of the last bronco we had. Sold it I think in 2004 to a guy from florida who flew fire fighting planes. It was '77 bronco ranger with automatic, factory air, and front disc brakes. Should have kept it, but no one really wanted it.

The Ford produced ones should be easily to spot, as Ford placed a script “F” on every bolt. Great looking survivor you have!

I had a ‘41, but sometime in the early 50’s someone cut one frame rail and angled the front end to fit a 4 cyl Hercules engine in it. Mine was used as a parking lot snowplow from the mid-50’s until the early 90’s.

my brother took a bunch of other pics, but I could not find them. I remember the F on the bolts. Going to need to take new ones and make sure its still running. I am sure someone with the skills and the desire will restore it. I wish I knew more of its history. My aunt had a renter who was big into WW2 military things and had a restored willys. But He moved around the time my dad got it (About 20+ years ago). My dad used to putter around his ranch on it until it got too hard for him to get into it.

Pretty much anything related to One Piece - manga, artwork, figures, books, soundtracks, etc. - all of that is probably my biggest collection. Been reading/watching for 20+ years at this point, story still hasn’t concluded!

I’ve also got a pretty massive Vinyl collection - a little bit of everything but mostly metal.

I guess I have a sizable Lego collection too, spend winters building the larger sets with the kiddo.

In the past I was actively collecting comics, movies, musical instruments, and Nintendo products. I’ve pretty much stopped on those collections as of now.

I find myself trying to ‘collect’ and I miss one crucial item or it becomes out of reach and then I abandon the collection. Still all sitting in the storage room though! Going to be a fun estate sale when I bite it.

Many, many years ago, I was at the state fair and stumbled upon a glass artist that had a little marble, maybe an inch, that was clear with a little yellow flower inside. I didn’t know you could do that! It was only $35 and it was pretty neat, so I got it. We go to all the local art festivals and since then I’m on the lookout for marbles. Then one day I found the lamp worker groups on FB. Now I didn’t have to wait for the festivals. After about a year, my wife put me on a glass budget.

I collect too many things besides my 17 pinball machines, but one of those is pinball flyers from the DMD era on. I have copies of all Sega and Bally/Williams flyers and most Capcom, American Pinball, Data East, and Gottlieb flyers. I have 101 Stern flyers so far (marked off in red on the list below) and am still looking for another 24 or so. But I'm not willing to buy the missing ones at the prices I currently see them for on eBay. Please PM me if you have any of the Stern flyers I'm missing that you would like to share.

I collect, restore and use old radios, many of which were used in WWII.
The current project is an ART-13A transmitter, BC-348Q receiver and
LM-13 frequency meter. These were the long range radio sets used on
larger WWII aircraft like the B-17 and B-29 plus many others.
I'm into ham radio and use these on the air to talk with others
that collect and restore other military radio gear.

If anyone is interested, you can look up these items

puzzle boxes are such a great hobby. They celebrate craftsmanship & ingenuity, they're easy to store, look good to display, have a robust secondary market, innately tactile, offer a huge sense of accomplishment, and they keep you away from 'online' nonsense.
Pinball shares many of those traits, minus easy to store, but pinball can be a more social experience.

^Can you put those back together in reverse or once you beat it, it's done?

    #397 2 years ago

Oh yes! And Sometimes its harder to reset, than it is to open.

Often a designers headache. Great Puzzle designs never released because its too difficult to put back.

Some fail. I have a couple that need to go back to the creator, to do so.

Humiliating, for sure, but some guys can spend hours or weeks (even years) trying to solve, but I personally loose
patience, and then its on the shelf to taunt me of my failures.

The people creating n this Hobby, are of unique cerebral intelligence...not meaning better, just
    a mindset, I cant fathom.

Robert, that helped design this, has been a good friend for almost 40 years.
Jesse Born achieved the puzzle, Young, and Brilliant, as the rest of us get too old.

There is another big auction this weekend on Cubicdissection.com

I collect too many things. Another is short stories, novelettes and novels written by Alan Yates.

Alan Yates was a prolific writer of mystery, suspense and some science fiction from the late 1940s to the early 1980s mostly under the pseudonym of Carter Brown. He was born in Great Britain, but lived and wrote in Australia after WWII. His main characters were all Americans, since the tough private eye genre best fit in the USA. Early on, each story would have a different hero character, who would usually get the girl in the end. Then he changed to featuring several repeating main characters, including California Police Lieutenant Al Wheeler, New York private eye Danny Boyd, Hollywood troubleshooter Rick Holman, and ditzy blonde operative Mavis Seidlitz, who worked for the Johnny Rio detective agency.

Australian publisher Horwitz sold the USA rights to his books to Signet, who only wanted the novels featuring the series characters. So dozens of the "single" titles were never published in the USA. And for some reason there are a couple novels which were published in the USA but never in Australia. To complicate matters further, some stories were titled one thing in Australia and another in the USA. Even worse, the same title was sometimes used for one story in Australia and a different story in the USA. I have been collecting and cataloging these books for decades and have recently arranged them in a dedicated bookcase (see pictures below).

Every time I see one of these what else do you collect threads. It reminds me of years ago in the early days of email. You'd get emails from people in other countries who collect world currencies and want you to send them some of yours.

That must have died off. I haven't seen one in years. Or not enough people fell for it.

I couldnt find the currency ad, but was part of this ad in the 60s, when Boxes of stamps would cover the table

Also coin collecting, and the ads from Littleton Coin Co.

Speaking of Books, as well I have 30 Plus Hardcover mostly read once, James Rollins, and Clive Cussler, if anyone is a reader and wants them.
