Jaws
Prince!
Lots of great videos, songs, purple LE edition, could battle Joker on Batdance, spooky electric and elevators on Lets Go Crazy.
Lots of possibilities.
Looks like there is no time like the present to get a BTTF pinball into production, while the cast still meet and get together to celebrate the movies at expos etc..
Looks like the cast could be happy to get back together for some custom callouts c'mon @Sternpinball & @JerseyJackPinball make this happen!
#SternPinball #JerseyJackPinball make this happen!
Back to the Future Remake, Willy Wonka, The Goonies, Fast and the Furious, Top Gun, Smokey and the Bandit, Bullitt, Journey (band), Die Hard, Harry Potter, Spaceballs, Young Frankenstein, Beetlejuice
Just to name a few, I could keep going on.
No preorders ever. I will place hold a spot with a refundable deposit with known a reputable manufacturer, but after the last few fiascos, never with an upstart.
Well, until about 5 days ago, I would have said an Alien themed machine, until I was browsing around this forum and saw that someone had made one! Then I was depressed when I read the state of the whole thing and that I'd have to have a 2nd mortgage for a low quality machine. Sad Okay, so 2nd mortgage is an exaggeration but it does seem like a very bad investment at this point for a product that is prone to breaking just through normal use.
I am going to answer the question the way it was posed first. From a new/non established company there is no title I would pre-order/give money. I have zero faith after seeing some of the stories here and hearing about some colossal failures/money grabs that have occurred over the years. While I have bought NIB I feel I am moving away from that. Now from an established company Harry Potter done right is a no brainer......wife and I both love the theme and it could be incredibly cool because there is so much to draw from. I also know that Rowling hates pinball so it’s unlikely unfortunately. Same with a great Bond game. Done right it could be amazing with the new tech if they went over the top and loaded it with features. I used to think fast and furious would be cool then I played a few car based pins and realized how tragic they are.

What about a U.S. military recruiting theme pin? The military has paid for the development of a couple of recruiting stations disguised as video games and arcade machines... why not a pinball machine? If Domino's can afford to have their own pinball... It may seem corny at first, but you could have some awesome artwork on a machine like that. The different services could be there own modes... and the military would likely subsidize the thing to get it into arcades if this was ever going to happen.

So like Last Starfighter?...speaking of which..that'd make for an interesting pin.
Quoted from OldSchoolBlood:70's kung fu craziness would be a perfect fit for pinball.

When I worked at Blockbuster I put one of my reccomend cards behind this.
Munsters LE deposit has been in for awhile. This is going to be a very special game. One could even say Haunted House 2
Off the the top of my head:
- Thundercats
- The Muppets
- The Neverending Story
- Sonic The Hedgehog (it's baffling that Sega's pinball division didn't make one back in the 90's. They had the technology and manpower. They had the license . Sonic was at its height of popularity. And yet they blew this opportunity! Oh well I guess there's always Sonic Spinball and the Casino Stages)
- The Ramones
Just discussing this with a buddy. If done right, Oregon Trail would be epic and nostalgic.
Upper playfield/mini games about hunting, ramp shots to successfully ford the river, etc.
Drains 'you have died of dysentery", etc.
On the more generic side....an arcade theme. Filled with retro arcade and pin machines. Old sounds and visuals. Hit the arcade guy to get quarters. Activate different mini games /modes related to retro games. Won't happen because of to multiple copy rights but an interesting theme.
My top theme would be anything Superman.
My second tier would be Big Trouble in Little China or Beavis and Butthead
My third tier would be The Goonies, Back to the Future, Neverending Story

This album is an Einstein Rosen bridge that takes you back to the 1980's. Enjoy the trip!
