I can relate to the tspp ambivalance. I pondered dumping it numerous times before finally "getting it"(after two years and a couple hundred plays.) I think the mistake we make is we walk up expecting checkers but end up playing chess.
For tspp it's simple: you must understand the rules to enjoy this game. There's just too much going on. There should be a tspp exam that must be passed prior to selling the game! If you can't pass it then game gets listed for 1K below market value.
Things I don't like:
Lack of callouts from other great characters(Lisa, Marge, mr Burns, etc)
Insufficient callouts from existing characters
These are insignificant though considering how amazing tspp is.
Buy this game!( but put your thinking cap on)
