Mine is a play on words. I'm a pinball fanatic and I live in Kentucky.
Thus: Pintucky
Hoping people in Kentucky who have pins would pick up on this . . .

Quoted from Strohz:My last name is Polish with a few scary looking letters thrown in
That was funny as hell!!! Loved it! I was in the Army (in Germany) with a bunch of Polish guys from the Chicago area. Some of their names were so long, they could barely get all the letters on their name tags for their uniforms!
My last name (Giorgio) is very rare here in the States, but in Italy, it is as common as 'Smith'. It translates into: "Farmer", or, "One who loves the land."
I was in the same boat as you with people who could not pronounce it. The first day I was in the Army, the Sergeant read out the names of all 200+ of us for a roll call. Every name in Kentucky was so common then: Miller, Baker, Jones, etc. When he got to my name he just said: "YOU! The one with the name I can't pronounce! Are you here?!" I knew then it was ME and I timidly answered!
