That was stapled to my receipt from bayareaamusements.com. I guess I put it there in case of an emergency. (Good eye BTW)

Being a pin virgin as of last night I have absolutely NO pinball stuff. Any good kits you can buy out there with general parts that come in handy to start your parts kit?

    #10 12 years ago

For mine just imagine a standard brown box with a bunch of stuff thrown into it. Somethimes there is a solding iron next to it!

    #11 12 years ago

Toolbox? Heres mine.... actually it is kind of odd that these 3 products can fix about everything in life but pinball machines.

Craftsman roll away, the top being a portable 3 drawer.

Yes, Pinballlife.com has a few kits with lots of spare parts and such that are common to most machines. Look in their electronics and hardware sections.

lmao! I was going to say something similar. Reminds me of that one movie where they beat the crap out of the fax or printer, can't quite remember but was hilarious.

The best part about that scene is the music that's playing during it ... "Die mutha fu**as die!"

Without a doubt one of the funniest movies ever made.

Dang, you guys have nice kits. My tools are constantly all over the place, there being about 7 different spots in the shop where I work on pins. Both me and my boss just carry a cloth bag when we need to do offsite stuff.

Hey, did you steal my blue nut driver? Somebody did.

I just got this Gladiator 7 drawer tool chest from Sears. I like it! Plenty of room for everything.

Not a bad deal at $300. Better quality than stuff from Home Depot or Lowes I think.

    been buying these:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HJD6N2/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details

cheap, strong, durable, stackable, mountable.. Each is plenty big for most parts (bulbs, coils, switches, fuses, etc). I ordered 6 to try em out, just ordered a dozen more. It's prime, so my 2-day shipping is free.

I'll post a photo when I get my parts more organized

Was going to start a thread like this, glad I searched.

Here is my new setup, soon to be utilized....just trying to finish my basement first before I get to the fun part.

Sorry for the blurry one. Not bad for a $6 toolbox, eh?

I have a small bench at home that is piled up with various tools and a vertical storage unit with compartments for game-specific parts, but I need mobility because I do a lot of my work between home and my office/shop.

I ended up getting a nice rolling toolbox that can carry just about anything I need to either site and all my loose parts and supplies go into a double-sided tackle box. It's been very effective and easy to move around.

I needed to do this anyway for inventory purposes and this thread gave me the excuse to finally get off my butt and take pics. My setup has to be mobile and easily transported. The stuff that stays put isn't pictured. I also have a portable cart that I use when I have to take everything at one. Once item added solely for B_R's sake.

"Which one of these things is not like the others?"

Since I just have the one pin ATM. I just throw whatever tool I use on it in the coin box. That way if I need it again, it will be there.

    #47 11 years ago

My tools are all over the place, mostly stored under the cabs.
