Quoted from MrBally:

It ensures that all earned multiple replays are given.
Example: In a 4 player game, if all player scores end in 8 or 80, and the Match number is the same, 4 pulses are provided by the score motor to the Replay unit and knocker. Sometimes having two solenoids connected in parallel will result in one or both staying energized a bit longer. If the score motor dwell is too long (pitted contacts sticking etc.) You may not get all earned pulses. This circuit is designed to help.

It is always awesome to hear that knocker, two or three times, after a four player game. On an EM pin.
