I’m working on my Jacks Open and have reached the point of reassembling everything. Has anyone come up with a good solution to stow the playfield prop rod other than letting it rest in the bottom of the cabinet?

I recently repainted the cabinet and filled the hole where the screw was. I thought it was a shade tree solution so I eliminated it in the hope of something more factory like. Silly me.
Quoted from jrpinball:"Jacks Open" should have had a screw on which to rest the rod.
Older wedgeheads did not. I'm not sure when they started installing that extra screw, but your game is supposed to have one.
My game did have the screw. I removed it and filled in the hole when I repainted. I didn’t realize that was the fix from Gottleib. I figured it was a previous owner that installed the screw and called it good enough. I’m going to the hardware store to see if I can find something else. Yes I know I’m going too far. I can’t help it.
