Anybody?

#3 4 years ago

4500 to 5500 depending on how everything works

#4 4 years ago

This was one of those magical games that was apart of the "Bally Williams TSPP LOTR" you would hear about all the time 4 years ago. For some reason, I never see people using this term anymore.

#5 4 years ago

Are you looking to buy it or sell it?

#6 4 years ago

I have it and maybe looking to sell it, But seeing what they are going for

#7 4 years ago

I dunno, but I'm in Pittsburgh and very interested

#8 4 years ago

Interested in trades +- cash?

#9 4 years ago

Gonna have to see a shooter lane pic first.

#10 4 years ago

Hard to tell from those pics, but the one pf pic looks worn to all hell and the cab buttons, while they can be covered with lollipop armor, show definite signs of use. I'd guesstimate a $3500 ball park figure.

#12 4 years ago

Somewhere in the 4s. I'd snap it up if I saw if offered for $3500 (assuming it's fully functional), and laugh if I saw it offered for $5500.

Id say $4400-4800

Just bought a mint HUO for low $5s. This one looks beat up and should sell for much less.

#19 4 years ago

I paid low 5's for a nicely routed one. Mostly stock aside from cliffys. I know of one in the last year that was high 3's straight off route. Otherwise they just don't go that low unless the person doesn't know what they have.

That being said my cabinet is in better shape and it didn't need a shop job. Yours needs a full tear down looking at how dirty the ramp is. It also needs some extended side rails. I am gonna say low to mid 4's.

#20 4 years ago

Anything under $4000 would be an absolute steal of a buy for someone. Everything works, it has the flipper button protector side rails included plus the backbox flasher kit and all it needs is a cleaning. Clean it up a bit on your own, not a complete shop job, just what you can get to and replace that spinner...it's beat. Then list it for $4500. That's a fair price and it would probably sell fairly fast at that price.

#21 4 years ago

Give it a good cleaning and list it for $4,500.

BTW, Thanks for the shooter lane pics!!

$3850 to $4350 depending on how bad someone wants it or how bad you want it sold.

#30 4 years ago

Don't think I'd pay any more than $3,500.

It's reeeeeeally dirty. Shooter lane and Sam hole are pretty beat up. Has Gandalf the Grey and not the original Gandalf on Shadowfax. The target below the crystal has been replaced. It should be white. Maybe it's just the photos but it looks like there's pitting/rust on the rails and on the base of Balrog. I have a feeling this one's been rode hard and put away wet.

The people saying 3500 want you to sell it to them for that. Clean it up. List it for 5k and see where it goes.

Yeah right! I sold a HUO with less than 150 plays a couple of months ago for $5100.

I only paid $4500 for my undocumented HUO with 300 plays. Game is near mint with no flipper button wear or any other wear or broken plastics. The 300 plays was with the original software version.

I owned LOTR for 6 years and an LE for a month only to realize that i do not need to play or own this machine anymore. I call it how it is; the game looks like its been heavily routed. Oh wait just a second here, hold the phones.... you own LOTR!!! trying the 'ol pinside price pump are ya? ridiculous. Listen, if you have a nice quality HUO LoTR, there's no need to price pump. You'll get $5k+ for it. But if you have a dirty, rotted, worn to hell worse than a $5 hooker LoTR which appears to be the case in this thread, then yea - you'll be lucky to get $3500 for it unless you do a serious shop job or con someone into buying it.

$5100 and $4500 based on descriptions are very good prices. The playfield in these pics looks pretty good other than the shooter wear. I'd clean it up -- polish up the wire ramps, too. Assuming it cleans up, a starting price of 4500 may be reasonable.

Not that I'm doubting you, but find it amazing when people say their games have fewer than 150 plays (or 300) -- did it sit in storage for a decade??

You are saying they will be lucky to get 3500 and yet people are saying they would buy it for 4k or more. Frankly I would do a straight trade for my potc for this. Why? Because I could shop it and then sell/trade it for 5k very easily.

Pricing on Sterns is a bit strange. SM, TRON, and LOTR pull 5k+ for decent examples. They don't have to be HUO just in decent shape.

A couple years ago LOTR and TSPP pulled low 3's. People seemed to be split over which they like more, yet today TSPP is a low 4k game.

My game sat in a guys den its entire life. As the guy stated he traveled a lot for his job and only played it once in a while. He was a fan of the movie and this was his first pin and only pin. He also said the gate got miss-aligned and it sat for several years before he had time to have someone fix it. But yeah it amazes me also. Since I got it, it now had 1200 plays before I upgraded the software version.

No it did not sit in storage, i just never liked the game!

My 2 cents...
There are 2 price points for your game

1. As-is - pictures of a filthy machine with some spare parts to spruce it up. You say working, but none of your pics show it powered on

2. Take your spare parts, spend about 40 hours and another $100 in misc parts & cleaning supplies to get it in the best shape it can for as little investment as possible

#1 is the exact type of machine I like to find, clean and fix. Then keep if I like it or flip it if I don't & not lose my ass on the deal

#1 gets you that 3500-4000$
#2 gets you $4k+ depending on how well it cleans up

Whichever you chose is up to you and your ability /willingness to invest in this pin

I still have my LOTR that I bought NIB back in 2003. But I would buy this in a second and do the work to get the #2 price point. I would recommend you do too, unless there are other factors pushing you to move it fast

#40 4 years ago

I think $4000 would be a fair price that someone would pay pretty quickly for this machine and what it comes with.
