I've put eleven years in and have fourteen more to go. I can retire at 49. I've wasted a lot of years and my intelligence, drive and work ethic are pretty wasted.
I have a family depending on my checks. I can't just quit and go back to school. Decisions were made, the die is well past being casted. I had no idea what raising a family and trying to give them everything they wanted would cost me when I chose my path.
I love the family but they've held me back from the path and goals I had set before I met the wife.
