good call wayout, was just thinking Phantasm. much as I like Heavy Metal and the green orb, which short story or stories of the 5 minis to make it work? maybe if it were like a pin2K with projections on the pf glass, all the stories could be incorporated into different modes, with targets changing the modes, machines tracking progress for each.
Phantasm could be much simpler and still be a fun machine going after trolls and the tall man, maybe a loose ball mode subtracting points or lives(balls) unless-until a target is hit, and a game starting with 6?

I like a lot of the cult classics mentioned but trying to think of how theyed relate to pinball gameplay for some of them could be pretty challenging. Fast Times at Ridgemont High with Jeff Spicoli stoner magnets doing weird things?
Wierd Science trying to assemble a girl with a computer a playboy a barbie doll and a random lightning strike?

both kind of TV show movie crossovers, Beetlejuice and Peewee's Playhouse could make for a couple really great looking pinball machines.
less "politically correct", Cheech-n-Chong's "Up In Smoke" has scads of possibilities for gameplay, music and callouts. laundry hamper urinal kickout hole, hey double bubble hitchhiker mini-multiball bonus, van on fire freeway escape ramps (byebye lardazz), Alice Bowie "earache my eye" multiball music, "is that a toothpick?" (we know what Tommy says after that line, right?), drop target MUFDVR low rider cruise mode with a model Impala playfield toy bouncing, Cheech as Alice Bowie on the backglass for an "on stage" lightshow from backglass and sides of backbox and undercab.. gimballed playfield for "stoner ball" confusion where it rolls left and right for 10-15 seconds, Ajax Lady turning blue, "I've been framed!" and tons of other possibilities for something really fun-funny to play or watch being played. imagine the kind of silliness that could be put into it for an attract mode, who could resist?
