    Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

Where is the magnet? I couldn’t find a list of EMs that use magnets. At least the IPDB doesn’t denote any others using it.

Is this what you were seeking? :

    1) List of EM games that have the word "magnet" as a Notable Feature:

    https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?gtype=EM&ft=magnet&sortby=date&searchtype=advanced

Note: This searches for any occurrence of that word. A game may say it has no magnets or uses an anti-magnetic ball.

    2) List of EM and SS games identified with a Doodle Bug or similar feature (ignore Klondike):

    https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=doodle.bug&sortby=date&search=Search+Database&searchtype=quick#2238

    Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

Yes that’s exactly it! I didn’t realize it was so easy! Is there a crash course on using “regular expressions” because everything I try comes out invalid. I tried sorting by years, sorting by EMs only and sorting by magnets and apparently the way I was doing it was wrong.
I also tried to use the wildcard to find games with more than 6 pop bumpers but it wouldn’t work. Even using Google to search the IPDB wouldn’t do the job. I tried stuff with the * and everything. It was a while ago bow so I can’t remember completely

The magnet search did not use Regular Expressions. Take a look at the Search form and notice I ticked the box for EM and placed the word magnet in the Notable Features Box (yes, you have to guess that that is where the word would be found).

I do not use REs but when I first tried to use them on the IPDB, as I understood them, nothing worked. Clicking on our Advanced Search "?" was not helpful. Rather than bother Wolf the Webmaster for help, I thought I'd do my own research, so I spent time reading through pages of two online tutorials. Still, no success. Then I wrote each author, asking for help, hoping they would appreciate that yes I did read their tutorial so yes I did try to first help myself. Each author summarily pointed me back to their tutorial URL without so much as a Hi, how are you. I don't even think they paid attention to the effort I had spent. What a waste of time with them.

Then I went crawling to Wolf and he quickly gave me the REs I needed. Should have gone to him first. What he gave me is nothing like what the online tutorials used. So, all I can say is set aside anything you may already know about REs and instead email me and I'll send you a cheat sheet I keep for myself. It's on Wolf's ToDo list to add it to our Advanced Search page but that list is long. So, email me.

Anybody reading this can email me for that sheet, maybe put "IPDB Regular Expressions" in the Subject line. It's pretty informal but very understandable. And, importantly, it WORKS.
