Say in the late 80s.
For me,
Grand Lizard
High Speed
Honorable mention - Fireball
Slightly newer sleepers....
Dracula
No Good gofers
Bride of Pinbot

No Good Gofers is 1997, it's way later, a great game, but way more modern. I wouldn't call NGG or Bram Stoker's Dracula sleepers, they are both pretty popular, as are most 90s Bally/Williams games.
There is something so perfect and elegant and dark and mysterious about Mata Hari.
I think that one is my favorite.
I guess I have to pick Centaur for #2, but there are many that could qualify!
Early 80s:
Blackout
Centaur
Flash Gordon
Mid 80s:
PinBot
Space Shuttle
High Speed
Late 80s:
Black Knight 2000
Transporter: the Rescue
Cyclone
I'm lucky to own atleast 3 of these.
Thought this would be interesting... We have had 12 80's games here at Blizzard Mountain Pinball during the past 6 months or so (11 are still here, Medusa's center post kicker broke and I can't find a replacement). Here are the 80's games sorted by the average number of paid plays per day:
1. Supersonic
2. Pinbot
3. Banzai Run
4. Time Machine
5. Black Knight
6. Dr. Dude
7. Mousin' Around
8. Fire!
9. Whirlwind
10. Earthshaker
11. Big Guns
12. Medusa
Yes, the oldest of the bunch (technically a 70's game!) is also the most played. Also of interest - all these games except Banzai Run are set to 50 cents per play. Banzai is 75 cents. The only game that actually makes money, after calculating rent, electricity, etc. for the floor space it takes up, is Banzai Run. However, the older games to have a following and I suspect some people come in to play them and then will play the newer things too, so I'm glad we have them!

Quoted from arcademojo:You say old school and list DMD games?
No Good gofers was 1997.
Maybe topic title should have been favorite non dmd games. Let's face reality...Addams is 28 years old. That's old school age.
For me, I am a sucker for system 11. I love them all. If I had to pick...
1. Whirlwind
2. EATPM
3. Earthshaker

When I go to locations to play pinball, I specifically seek out older and/or rarer games. I can play a new stern anywhere. I like something different.
Super Old School: Centaur; Fathom; Medusa (the classic Bally 1981 lineup).
Old School: Whirlwind; Taxi; Torpedo Alley.

Anything with DMD is a Late model.
