This song actually doesn't sound awful in the high-res studio recording, but this particular rendering of it is a combined product of YouTube's TERRIBLE audio compression algorithms for any video uploaded in a resolution below 480p before the year 2009 and the late 2000s indie brit pop trend of compressing the shit out of literally every single instrument.
Incredibly catchy band. What at time and place. Reminiscent of the sound of this track.
