Quoted from jpd632:Letterman Show was the peak of good taste in music for years IMO.
Don't forget Conan O'Brien
Nobody could do a cover of a cover of a cover like that and come back alive

It was a prick to find, I can't pronounce it , let alone spell it
Had to do a double take. I thought that was John Waite.
Always enjoyed this one... bad 80s hair metal by a Japanese band where the singer doesn't speak English.
Dumbest lyrics ever..
Well, we're gonna rock and pile you
We're gonna do our best
The beat kicks you in the head all right
Yeh, it's gonna get crazy tonight
Quoted from Jamesays:Argent
That's a great classic for boomers. They played that song on the radio constantly in the early 70s.
Focus by Hocus Pocus, live. I always love watching this one. Everything about it is insane. How many people could possibly pull off those vocals? And I like the backstory - they were told they only had 4-1/2 minutes to play their 6+ min song, so they just went out there and played it at super high speed.
And another old-timey favorite. Ridiculous amounts of sheer talent. Frankenstein Edgar Winter.
I'm going with these two. As if The Beatles didn't innovate on everything else musically. Here they are making visual art of their music way before it became fashionable to do so.
My favorite solo Beatle video is Crackerbox Palace by George Harrison. Light, fun, goofy. Things a lot of fans don't usually don't associate with George.
If you’re remembering the Kleenex shortage of 2000, it’s because this came out when we were in high school. Step aside Britney.

Ugh.. I got an STD just watching that back in the day.
Great to see new people posting .
Just a reminder to include the name of the song - band/ artist , for easy searching .
Not sure about my very favorite, but favorite for a local band here in Upstate N.Y.
Elf is the first band Ronnie James Dio was in, and for me, I like Elf's music better
than any other band's music Dio was in..
I like Brian Johnson's old band, Geordie, better than when he took over at AC/DC
Geordie - Goodbye Love

I've been listening to a lot of Ronnie James Dio lately too. His birthday would have been a few weeks ago.
Rainbow - Stargazer

Not bad. Odd hearing a clear Brian Johnson singing voice. But better than BJ era AC/DC? C'mon. At least we now know the inspiration for "I Was Made for Loving You" by Kiss.

Geordie - All Because Of You

Of course, it's even weirder to hear Bon Scott with a clear singing voice...
BON SCOTT in the VALENTINES - BUILD ME UP BUTTERCUP

Quoted from vid1900:But even in 1973 he could do the AC/DC gimmick voice:

Is it just me or is there a Gary Glitter Vibe going on .
Quoted from vid1900:BON SCOTT in the VALENTINES - BUILD ME UP BUTTERCUP
I would have never imagined Bon Scott sung build me up buttercup . I say " don't build me up buttercup " to people all the time

Can you imagine his disappointment when he arrived at this gig?
"Oh wait. I thought they would be, you know, **girls**..... "

Yep. That's pretty much it, pre-50 years of smoking. But what can we say? He's 75 years old and still kicking ass.

wp4807581.jpg There's many pretty well known songs I like, but here's a Boston Band that
some may not have heard. There's 5 or 6 songs I like on this album..
