What are you working on pinball-wise this weekend?

BadBrick is coming over tonight to hang out and try to get F-14 powered on for the first time since it was dismantled 6 months ago.

There is a lot of board work and rewiring I have done that will probably need to be tweaked along the way tonight. Already charging up the oscilloscope.

Tesseract cubes, ACDC backboxes, finishing up 2 different custom machines... Busy weekend

    #15 6 years ago

Well, I'm changing lamp sockets on Space Invaders. I do about 12 sockets over the weekends. I replace them with the two leg sockets thus eliminating the continuous wire that is soldered to each socket. I loop insulated wire to each socket so a burned out bulb is easy to replace by just removing the socket to playfield screw and lowering the socket. Old sockets need to be replaced in my opinion. The lamps are brighter and you know if a lite isn't working its the bulb for sure. I do this to every machine I plan on keeping.
