Working on the Mystery Game..................
Quoted from Phillips88:Volley
Quoted from MikeO:It clearly is a Gottlieb.
Quoted from snyper2099:This...
Quoted from pinwiztom:just checked and looks like you may be in luck

but better act fast.
Yes please do, your backglass is starting to scare me....................

Quoted from Murphdom:I hope not. Whoever did it was meticulous enough to put it just on the contact points of the switches. The stacks seem nice and clean and dry. They also oiled some of the coils and other mechs throughout so I had a great time.
Been there, done that, I feel your pain. Our mata hari is the same way except they sprayed oil everywhere and on everything. Works well though, no issues from oil. Cleaned it up as much as I could but it is one of those things that everytime I work on it, I'm cleaning more.
Quoted from illawarra92:has 3" flippers rather than 2"
Yep, couldn't even bother to use Gottlieb Flippers either, just slapped on some Williams.
Quoted from stashyboy:This one is going to need a lot of love. Sadly stored on the Jersey Shore and all the metal work inside the game is heavily corroded. Worth it in my opinion. For such a rare game.
Blue Note or Rock Star? Congrats! Have fun with the restore. It will be worth it.
I'll place my bet that it is Rock star, the AAB version seeing its from Jersey.
Quoted from goldenboy232:Top Card! Almost ready for TPF in March!
Game looks great! Looking forward to playing it.
Quoted from electricsquirrel:Never heard of a Sure Shot 2!!!!
Can you post more pictures? Thanks, E
Just go to my Pandemonium Pinball Thread and check out the latest video. Details and video of the game are there.
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:The head must have taken a hit at some point, but it doesn't look too bad. I'm not a cabinet guy, so I'll probably leave it alone.
Or contact Boilerman in your area and see if he would repair and paint your cabinet.
Sure Shot 2 back on the operating table for the weekend. First fully operational test is planned for Monday.
Some more new wiring and switches being added to get the logic working 100%. All issues solved, just need to do the work.
Added another Jones Plug in the backbox to replace a dead wire in the Alternator with a new one. The original wire has a break in it somewhere. Not worth tearing half the wiring harness apart tracking it down.
Having a lot of fun with this project.
Believe it or not I have not blown a fuse to date testing!
Time for lunch then back to SS2.

Quoted from stashyboy:That stogie you're sporting must be spiked with something else besides tobacco. Look again.
Yes indeed! Smokin! Gottlieb Blue Note/ Rock Star!
Quoted from Dono:Just shopped this for some folks in Middleburg VA today (this is a pre-shop photo, I hate black rubbers)!... 24 score reels and a boatload of steppers and relays, what a great game! Bought by the wife's father when she was a teenager, it's been with them for the last 30+ years.
Going back in a week or so to meet the dad, he's travelling from Ohio and wants to talk "shop" and drink some IPAs!
Cool Don.
You gonna talk them into getting a Shay backglass?
