Almost finished working on this Grand Champion. It resets and plays a full game. Everything's working.
Video of the 2nd ball being played.
Getting ready to smooth down the front of the lightbox insert with sandpaper so it won't scratch the backglass when I slide it back in.
I had to use clamps, glue and wood putty to repair the shadowbox part of insert insert back onto the board because it had broken into pieces.

I cleaned the dirt and old lacquer off with lacquer thinner then gave it 3 thin coats of shellac, sanding lightly after the first 2 coats.
This is what the wood looked like after I cleaned it with lacquer thinner before applying the shellac. I was planning to reflow the lacquer but a lot of the old lacquer was worn off.

I'm going to have to rebuild the switch stacks on the stepper units for both games. One switch stack has broken blades and the other switch stack blades are too long to open at zero position. It's also missing the zero position post.
High score of 3,910,000 on the game I'm playing and the other game I'm working on.

I'm cleaning up this project 65 Bank A Ball I picked up Thanksgiving day.
After a week at $275, I decided to go look at it, made sure everything was there including all the balls then gave them the $275 they were asking for and wished them a happy Thanksgiving.
