No, I got it down in CT.

Finally got my North Star up and running. Very pleasantly surprised by the jam packed specials and excellent game play. Its last issue was an exhausted 0-9 unit. Steve Young provided a 30 point small step reset unit from a later machine that with a day's filing and other modification works fine. Love this one.
Quoted from Peruman:Cabinet and coin door have some wear so I'm thinking about making it the first cabinet I sand and re-paint.
Cabinet looks nice except for the lockdown bar holes and coin door. I suggest using some las totally awesome cleaner (from the dollar store) or krud killer to remove the nicotine stains on the cabinet and evaporust the legs and coin door first. I think it’ll look 100% better. Then repaint if you still aren’t happy.

Let's see a photo or two.

This is not mine and I don’t know how bad your mini pools playfield is but check this out:
Working on Teacher's Pet. Thought I was in the home stretch the other night before I found the pop bumper and sling shots have coils with non-removable metal sleeves. All showed signed of uneven wear and are playing a little sluggish. Oh well, five coils and plungers on order. I now hope to finish up early next week. The game will also need to have a cabinet stencil at some point. Someone painted it by hand with a bush and did a terrible job. For now I will hide it in a dark corner.

Almost since I first started collecting, it has been my goal to own one of these beauties. Fine looking machine!
Quoted from ibis:Bally Hi-Deal but in the wings is a Gottlieb Mini-Pool that needs a lot of work!
I bought a major project "Mini-Pool" at last year's Pinfest. Got it looking reasonably decent and playing great in a matter of a few weeks. Sold it at Pintastic. It's a fun game, and very worthy of restoration.

Added a few pictures of my cave and North Star/modified 0-9 match unit.

Kent, when can I invite myself over?
Top Card is slowly starting to look like a pinball machine again.
boilerman was nice enough to rivet new stand-up target-faces I sent him onto my stand-up targets for me, so as soon as those arrive this week I'll re-solder those and be done with the underside of the playfield. Then I'll reassemble the newly rebuilt pop-bumpers and put the rest of the playfield hardware on, followed by any mechanical trouble-shooting. Hope to be done by next weekend so I can start on Spin Out -- planning to take both to Texas Pinball Festival.

Quoted from MikeO:Kent, when can I invite myself over?
Anytime, Mike. Let's do it.
Going to ask this here since there were a couple Fast Draw shown recently: Does anyone have a schematic that shows the LB relay (probably in 7E of the schematic)? Mine lists the relay in 7E bit it isn't shown.
Bringing this low play Bronco back from the dead. it hasn’t been touched in decades. The score motor would run endlessly upon power up, but now it’s 98% working after a long week of zen and the art of leaf switch adjustment. Seemed like every time I got one thing working I’d find two more that weren’t.
My grandma used to say freezer burn was a “protective coating“ for old food, well this game has a nice and thick protective coating of nicotine. So that’s next...
AE8DCA7D-7694-42DA-A8B5-54C42D7EC4AF (resized).jpegGetting Team One ready for A-town: Really nice playfield and mechanics nice and clean; cabinet solid; a few scuffs and bruises, nothing serious. Nice coin door and legs...backglass is the worst part of the game... a lot of missing and crazed ink in the reds like 95% of the examples out there. Great candidate for a Wizard transformation project.
IMG_4734[2218] (resized).JPGMy kids love our 4MBC. I have mine set really steep. I feel your pain with the workshop. I have the same problem every time. I should really know better by now.
Yeah, bit of a mess, but I've seen far worse. Love the old phone hanging on the wall. Nice.
How'd you get that '79 Atari RoadRunner backbox? Isn't it really rare? IPDB says 2 units

Can you post more pictures?

Quoted from nomo:Working on 1950's Bally shuffle bowler. Pretty discouraged with the condition of the score box. One mechanism before and after 12 hours in Evapo Rust, and I now have a little hope! Only 27 more to go. [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That's really in poor condition, kudos for you to bring it back from the dead; a TON of work for sure, good luck!

Game looks great! Looking forward to playing it.

Just go to my Pandemonium Pinball Thread and check out the latest video. Details and video of the game are there.

WOW! Nice going on a tough project - "worked when put into storage"
Will you be doing any additional work to protect the metal after removing the rust?
I picked up a High Hand about a week ago. Spent Saturday tearing down the play field and getting it working. I haven't tackled the coin door yet, but it's a mess. Back glass is decent and the cabinet is alright. The head must have taken a hit at some point, but it doesn't look too bad. I'm not a cabinet guy, so I'll probably leave it alone.

Or contact Boilerman in your area and see if he would repair and paint your cabinet.

Good question! What is the recommended product of choice to protect the metal? Thanks Mike
I’ve been doing touch-ups on Atlantis, feathering in color with an airbrush over damaged areas on the cabinet.
Aieee! I’m turning into a mermaid, or a wedgehead.
FYI, there’s now a thread in the “Restorations Documented” forum if anyone is interested in more about this Atlantis resto.

Well the best working method for the price would be paint. Easiest is wax or oil. Most expensive longest lasting is having the parts plated (or plate it yourself with copper, etc).

CFTBL. You have some incipient webbing going on there as well as the green skin!

I have some early Bally stepper's. Send me a pm if interested.
Picked this up today and have it playing %100. Cabinet is repainted but the play field and back glass are beautiful. Will be up for sale soon or at Allentown this year.

I kept finding stupid repairs, such as a Williams coil butchered and used for a pop bumper coil; incorrect flipper axle (pictured), and an ultra-hacked ball return switch (pictured - upper switch stack, replaced by lower switch stack) that kept tripping Game Over as several switch blades would hang on the eject unit upon pulsing. Took me forever to find this problem as the switch is nestled between two eject arms.
Can't wait to get it all in place tomorrow and play a game that hasn't been played in 30+ years!
Jumping Jack_ball_return_switch (resized).JPGflipper axle (resized).JPGToday was: Bally Ball Park, Midway's Rifle Gallery, Flipper Fair, Time Trials, Mini Golf,
and Hollywood Driving Range..
Had a gathering over the weekend, and a few machines didn't make it the whole night.
Have them all going except Time Trials. Turned out to be one of the cars, but I have parts.
She'll be going before long..

I'm wondering if you should send those all out to be plated once they are evaporusted clean

That sounds expensive! I'm thinking a coat of paint or clear.

Looks really nice! I’ve always liked this game and hope to someday own a Big Brave.
Very nice. Thanks for the pics Dave as I always wondered how the mechanism for zipper flippers worked...now I know.
