Not sure what I'll cook but the Big Green Egg will be busy! Pizza, filet mignon, mahi mahi, Cajun shrimp, chicken wings, chicken nuggets or maybe something "low and slow". It'll be fun!

Need a good pizza dough recipe. Had the Sir Pizza recipe but lost it.

Gonna try pizza again tomorrow, it's a bitch.

Your basic cheese pizza on the egg. Somewhat high heat cooked on a screen.

Funny observation. I did that on purpose.

Lesson learned. No paper plate pics. Got it! Thinking of grilling up a cheeseburger next.

Pizza from Saturday on the egg at about 550. Grande cheese 50/50. Thought it turned out pretty good.

Quoted from o-din:

Already got a thread that covers both methods or any other way you want to cook em! Don't know why this thread even exists in the first place, especially when people continually post about BBQing in it.

Didn't see any pizza in that thread.

Not sure if this counts as a grill but I bought a rocbox propaine pizza oven. It takes about an hour to heat up to over 800f and will cook a homemade pizza (not from frozen) in 90 seconds!
I do make dough in advance and freeze it in freezer vacuum bags.

Ordered a "Roccbox" from Williams Sonoma today. Won't receive it until the end of August. Must be a big demand for it. The U.K. site wouldn't accept any of my credit cards.

Hope it's worth the wait.

Quoted from RVH:

Nice, it takes about an hour to heat up. Thay don’t tell you that so it costs about a dollar in fuel every time I use it. Still worth it, the pizza has a soft fresh bread taste and texture. Everyone I’ve made it for loves it. Here’s a link to the recipe I use so another chefs steps link and a pic of last nights pie.
I can pm you any advice as to not clog up the grilling thread.

Finally got the Roccbox. Used dough you get at Publix. Got the oven to about 800 degrees Fahrenheit. Not good at all. Needs work. Crust on first try actually flamed up. 3 attempts and they all sucked. Garbage can had a great meal.
Going to make my own dough tomorrow, hope those pies turn out better!

Ribs after 1 hour on the egg. Something different. Figure 2 1/2 hours at 225, double wrap it and place it back on for another hour. Go with the flow. Maybe longer, maybe shorter. Backup is a chicken salad.

Ate the chicken salad. This just doesn't look good to me. Pizza is next.

Roccbox at about 800 degrees. Simple pizza, fresh mozzarella, basil leaves and extra virgin olive oil with generic pizza sauce. A work in progress. Pizza was awesome! Happy this one didn't catch on fire.

Cooked a whole turkey on the egg last year. Think I used wet pecan chips. It was really good, didn’t inject.

Been living in Florida for most of my life. What part of that thing do you eat?
