Quoted from Goronic:I will wait and see, I am about 1 - 2 years out on getting TRON anyway. Thanks for everyone chiming in.
you can plan that far out?

Well, this thread exploded. I'd say there is quite a bit of interest in a Tron Premium. I personally think it would be dumb to NOT make a Tron Premium at this point. It's basically a seed waiting to grow into a money tree...all Stern needs to do is plant it. All they need to do is throw the lighted ramps on the pro and call it good. LE would still have plenty of unique features (drops, daft punk multiball, moving recognizer, more speech, unique playfield art). Only real logistical problem would be a potential 3rd piece of code to manage, but that could be resolved by just having the lighted ramp code in the pro/VE even though it's not used. That way current pro owners could hook up the fiber optics if they wanted too. Boom. You're welcome Stern!
Quoted from Rarehero:A little different than an official Disney Limited Edition licensed machine made by Stern.
Not really...a Tron VE with metallic decals and lighted ramps would just be another version of Tron. I don't see how anyone would think that couldn't/shouldn't/wouldn't happen. What are there now, about 5 or 6 versions already?? What's one more??
Technically the original Tron was a Premium according to the box...so they can do an LE now that is even BETTER than that one!
Quoted from Trekkie1978:But the bikes in Tron, were toys they purchased (ala Transformers).
Once those toys were out of stock, they moved to the "all terrain vehicle" (I don't know the technical name for it).
Same as IM...just need to mold and cast.
Quoted from Goronic:Light runner - I have the toy I think you referring to on my lab desk

Yep
Quoted from Rarehero:Stones is super fun, too. Most have never played it and just rag on it for it's "cheapness"...same thing they did with Iron Man & Tron, till they actually played them.
Nah...I've played it plenty. Stones is a dog. And so is Elvis for that matter. Two stinkers. Big time...doesn't help that they are both horrendous themes too.
Quoted from Rarehero:You say "new Tron audience"….at any given time there's always a new set of eyes that become interested in a game that's out of production….that's no guarantee that that game will ever go back into production. In the case of Stern, you may get lucky…but how big is this "audience"? If it amounts to 50-100 sales, I don't think you'll see it happen. 300-500, yes.
Tron VE with metallic details and lighted ramps... ...easily 300.
